Chose this for a small surprise party for my mother and it was absolutely perfect. Warm and comfortable, tastefully decorated, and with the friendliest and most helpful staff you could possibly want, it gave my mother a memory to cherish. Spectacular views across Stroud (particularly in the snow of the last few days!) and with a terrace and garden we had hoped she might enjoy (not likely under the snowy circumstances). Food, drink, and service was excellent (I'll even forgive them only having Strongbow in the bar instead of at least one real cider). Stay there: you will not regret it.

Great building and location with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is very good. Service is good too but not very friendly.

Excellent choice of ale. I had the roast beef which was cooked to almost perfection. Some of the roast potatoes seemed a little raw in the middle. Wonderful choice of red and white wine. Beautiful setting in the Cotswolds. Splendid

Beautiful location and views from the patio, Lovely welcoming staff, comfortable room, superb breakfast. One star off for the fact of having to go outside to get to restaurant/bar/lounge and the disabled accessible room while ok for some wheelchair users (including myself) was far from what would generally be recognised as an accessible room.
