We had Easter Sunday lunch here and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Two of us had roast spring lamb, two of us the nut roast (which could have had more gravy). Hearty and flavoursome portions, beautifully cooked. Desserts chosen were fruit crumble and ice cream (large and tasty), chocolate orange brownie and ice cream (large and tasty), two of us had treacle tart with clotted cream (smaller in scale, but rich and delicious). Beer selection today was restricted to only two options, but good ones: Butty Bach from Brains, and Wainwright from Thwaite's. The venue is large, they also cater for weddings, birthday and anniversary parties, etc, and in pretty surroundings with the old mill race just outside the front. The staff are lovely and friendly. Recommended.

This was a great FUN lunch. We are 3 former work coĺleagues who, every 3 months, take turns in picking a venue for food in a relaxed atmosphere. Today it was my turn and I got it sooòo right! We were warmly welcomed given great service by a Canadian guy who kept us smiling all of the time. 3 lunches plus 3 sweets, coffees, beer, ales and lager for under £50! Oh yes Brilliant! Thanks to all concerned.

Lovely venue, attended wedding & stayed overnight. Wedding food was hot & better quality than some 4/5* hotter weddings venues that I've attended. Rooms where modern & clean, breakfast was a mixture if cook to order & buffer, a good selection & again being cooked to order no dry eggs or cremated bacon.

A reasonably priced "pub grub" restaurant in a converted water mill. Beside the mill pond is a great location for outside eating. Good selection of craft beers and the wine was OK too. Not great for vegetarians but there is some choice. Nice puddings and you get two biccies with your coffee, a nice touch.

Great Christmas eve, supper and silver band concert. Absolutely crazy that they told the band they weren't wanted in Christmas 2017. My opinion of them has definitely been affected. Decent staff and atmosphere. Also have a pretty good choice in the restaurant. Offer lunchtime daily deals which are excellent value for money.
