I have always had outstanding service from the team at Castleford. The reception girls are incredible and nothing is ever too much trouble. Debbie & Julie are like old friends. My husband Karl saw Lorna Coulson today for treatment and he was so impressed. She was extremely efficient and knowledgeable and professional. My husband was so relaxed, he almost fell asleep. Thank you to all.
Numerous times trying to get through on the phone and no answer. Had mine and my husbands checkups cancelled and was told to call back in 3 months to re-book. To be told the same thing again in 3 months. To then be told they will put us on a list and call us when they had some appointments. However if we wanted to go private and pay they could fit us in. Still waiting for the phone call and font hold much hope of getting sn appointment either.
Rang at 8.30am soon as it opened to be in a queue pressing 1 uncountable time, then to have a automated voice say system can not process your request at this time, 20 minutes on hold to be cut off!!!!!! I have had numerous issues with this place over the years One, them chewing my lip up in a drill and sending me to ANE! Another giving me a black eye dropping a instrument on my face and worse having my mouth braces open to half way though not have to correct equipment and leaving my mouth propped open half hour till they could get it, was propped open n hour n 50 mins in the end! Admittedly this was before Bupa took over and I now have a dentist there who is good and understanding of my now real phobia and anxiety of having to go. Of which to say I never ever had before. If I could get in somewhere else with NHS I would .
Awful practice. Lot changed since Bupa took over. Ive been trying to get a checkup and not had one in 3 years, but worst still at the weekend a filling fell out and Ive been in pain since. Ive been calling every morning 1st thing as instructed by them on Monday as I am on holiday next week, each day after doing what Ive been told and ringing when they open - they cant fit me in, emergency appointments have gone. Cant book me in for a following day either, I just have to try the next morning but I get same response. I now have to face a ruined holiday in tooth pain next week, no empathy whatsoever. And the same issue will be there when I return.
Very Good Dentist Dr Faisal was fantastic when it came to dealing with my sons extraction because he has learning difficulties and was scared to go to a dentist but his experience with Dr Faisal he is no longer scared to go to a dentist.
I first contacted Bupa Dental Care Castleford on 1st July but couldn't get through on phone. I was in agony with severe toothache in 2 of my teeth. I tried again on Monday 4th July and waited ages on hold but no one answered the phone again. I ended up going down to the surgery in person only to be told I couldn't book an appointment and Id have to ring back in the morning. I ended up emailing and finally someone came back to me and offered me an appointment for 26th July which was in three weeks time. I spent those three weeks in agony. I tried calling 111 and waited for 2 hours only to be told they couldn't help me and my own dentist had a duty of care to offer me an emergency appointment within 48 hours. I emailed again but was told 26th was the earliest I could be seen. Faced with a situation that was getting worse by the minute and no means of getting any professional advice or assistance from Bupa Dental Care Castleford I had to resort to a private dentist because I couldn't bare the pain any longer. I have spent almost £500 on private dental treatment and all I have achieved is the prep of the root canal treatment and a reduction in the pain to something that was just about bearable with this and a course of antibiotics. When I went to my long awaited appointment on the 26th the dentist advised it was only an emergency appointment which took 3 weeks to get! and he could only address one problem / one tooth. All he could do was add to the temp filling the private dentist had done and said there was nothing else that could be done today and that I needed book in for a full NHS check up. I tried to do this only to be told by the receptionist that they have no NHS dentists to book in with as they were all leaving, the best she could offer was to ring back in September to see if any new NHS dentists had started. I now have one tooth with half a root canal and temp filling which could start hurting me again at any point and another tooth with failed root canal and abscess that I am trying to manage with antibiotics and no idea when I am ever going to be able to get this sorted as Bupa Dental Care Castleford have no NHS dentists and I cant afford this treatment which will cost thousands privately.
Finally managed to get to see a dentist after nearly 7 years of trying. Bupa have taken me on private and so far Mr Hawkins has been amazing. I have 2 more appointments yet but so far so good
Paying thousands privately to have Invisalign with this dentistry and there have been nothing but issues from the outset. They say any issues give us a call!!! I have been calling every morning for emergency appointments to either not get any answer despite being on hold for over half an hour or told there are no appointments left and to call back tomorrow. I call back first thing the next day and no appointments left again. For private patients paying thousands already paid up front too this is shocking!!! Won’t be recommending to anybody and I will be switching dentistry once my treatment is complete! Also to add, in the past when I have attempted for over half an hour to call for an appointment and can’t get through I have driven down 5 minutes away and none of the reception staff were on any calls. Zero stars from me…. However I have to put at least 1 to be able to post this!!!
Shocking treatment I have had yet another appointment cancelled by them without any explanation, its now mid September & I have been trying to see a dentist since MAY, If I could give a zero star I would
I have been with this dental practice for 20 years as a NHS patient. Today l have been told l can not be seen has a NHS patient because l have missed three appointment in last 12 month. The people who work there are wonderful they do care for there patients and listen to you l have never had any problem with them all those years till know.
