The food was really good: well cooked, well presented and loads of it. The menu was fun, full of variety, kept to the American diner theme. The staff were excellent - we were well looked after the waiter admitted to being new but he was very friendly but not pushy. The toilets were clean although there's no mirror in the gents for the vain!
Me and my daughter come in today, for some lunch before going to the mayflower. The staff were lovely, very attentive and polite. The food was fantastic, I had the new York steak and my daughter had the chicken goujons, It was cooked to perfection. I must say the best steak I have had from a restaurant in a long time. The portion sizes were great value for money. Would definitely go back again, and recommend to friends and family. A+++ Experience.
Looks can be deceiving, this is a little gem of a place. Lovely service, wonderful food, hot and very large portions, must book for lunch on a show day at the Mayflower. Love love love this place, will definitely come again. Good for families at lunch as well as friends!
Not knowing the area, we had not planned where to eat prior to going to the Mayflower Theatre. Saw Buffalo Bills opposite the theatre & went in on the off chance @ around 6:15pm. It was very busy inside but we were immediately welcomed, asked if we were going to the theatre & shown to a table. Our orders were taken quickly, we did not have to wait long for the food. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection, my burger was delicious & juicy & after enjoying a leisurely meal even had time for dessert! We were extremely impressed with the speed, friendliness and efficiency of the staff and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant as a great place to eat before a show.
Really good food. Friendly service and a fast turnaround, handy for nearby Mayflower Theatre shows. Not open all week, so an online booking function or even a contact form or email address might help - I had to call 6 times to get through
Tried to book a table for 8 for my Birthday, but was basically informed that the potential customers coming out of the Mayflower Theatre were higher in the pecking order than 8 guaranteed customers. Wasn't even told to try my luck and pop in. They were very polite, but the message was still 'No thanks, we don't need your custom!' So I won't be going there, ever.
Table for fourteen booked on Saturday 30th June for a family birthday celebratory meal. Actually tried contacting restaurant during the day to increase numbers with no response. However turned up for 7pm reservation and found establishment was shut!!! Obviously not ideal as we had children as part of our party. If restaurant was shut due to unforeseen circumstances it could of had the courtesy to have informed us. Will make a point of visiting this establishment if and when it does reopen to hear their explanation.
Didn't book but managed to get a table for two at 6.30 on a Friday. Staff were friendly and good humoured, and the burgers were large portions at a reasonable price. Can't go wrong
Two of the three staff friendly, but more senior member made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Beer didn't taste as it ought and food sub standard for the cost. So disappointing for what we expected. Honestly if you want to serve Weatherspoons standard food, you should half the price to match
We came out of the Mayflower theatre and spotted BB's we are not from the area so wandered around looking for somewhere to eat..saw nothing that grabbed us so went back to BB's..Boy are we glad we did..it was excellent! The staff were so helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble..we were very impressed..Now for the food we had nachos with cheese, they were hot and plentiful..followed by burgers..well we couldn't fault them they were thick, juicy and so filling neither of us could finish the plate..the bookings were coming in constantly while we were there so they are doing something right! We just couldn't find fault and would recommend to anyone
