"South Wales Vets started life over 10 years ago on Malpas Road in Newport and in that time we have grown from one to seven branches.Our aim is to provide veterinary care at a fair and reasonable price to all animals, at all times, regardless of their owner’s income, background or circumstances.We offer all the same services and facilities you would expect to find in any other veterinary practice and in some cases, more. I gave been using South Wales Vets for more than 14 years now and have found their approach to their customers both canine and human to be very professional and compassionate. Over that period, the practice has continued to evolve and improve significantly. I am happy to continue using South Wales Vets all the while the latest addition is around. Indra shown below, 100% mischievous Teckel.
Lovely veterinary team. Have just registered my two kittens and have been twice now due to checks and vaccinations. Friendly staff and easy to talk too, recommended.
The vet was wonderful. So much better than the vet who works at the blackwood branch the one with the big mole on her face, who is incredibly rude and pretentious. Keep up the good work A++++
Terrible service - pet plan in place and despite paying for this the treatments are never provided properly. My cat has been recieving treatment for other things and was due his vaccination last month - he was not given his vaccination but was seen by the vet and nurse on the 26th January, it will now be late something the vet stresses is not good as the course needs to be restarted the same issue occurred with my dogs. My dogs were also treated terribly by the vet as a consequence I removed them from the plan. Such a shame to pre pay for services and be let down time and time again.. Back in 2014 it used to be a much better service, gone downhill ever since.
The staff were very welcoming the vets were efficient explained everything to me that was going to happen the prices for the consultation and my dogs post op were very thorough too xx

You have been taking care of us for 7yrs now. No matter what pickle Tut gets himself into you are always there, doing your best to get him back to his joyful self as swiftly as you can. You were amazing over the shutdowns. I have nothing but gratitude for you all and I highly recommend your practice.
Lovely staff on my last 2 visits. Friendly, helpful, happy to see/help all animals. the waiting room can be very warm though and there's not enough seating area for all clients and their owners. Hence the 4
As with Malpas and Risca, this 'sister' practice is staffed by attentive and very pleasant people who take the time to explain everything to you. The practice itself is, again, like Malpas and Risca, clean, quiet and comfortable. The only downside is it's on double yellow lines. There are plenty of little parking bays on surrounding streets. The locals know there's a vet there, put your hazard lights'on and picking up your pet after an operation, you're not going to be long
Reception staff are great but the vets are incompetent, our dog had a scan about a year ago and they didnt even notice there was a slipped disc, dog almost died but we took to a different veterinary who were super fast and skilled
