Had two meals in the space of one weekend as part of my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary celebrations. Absolutely beautiful food - could not fault anything. The service was 5*, very friendly staff, especially Chloe. Had the steak pie on the Sunday and all I can say is wow - that was by far the best steak pie I've ever had !! Really cannot recommend this place highly enough. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely visit again !! Also, thanks so much for making my parents' anniversary meal so special with the table decorations. Fabulous country inn !!!
Wonderful traditional country pub. The food was great quality and very nice. Good service and friendly staff. A good place to go for a great quality Sunday dinner. Bit more expensive than other places but totally worth the extra cost good quality meat, fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puddings. Definitely will be visiting again.
Found this place when looking for a dog-friendly pub in Scarborough. It was well worth the short drive north. The pub was nice and cosy and had a log fire burning. The staff was very welcoming, and the food was properly home-cooked with good-sized portions. We will definitely visit again. We enjoyed a very good meal here. Very good choice of vegetables. Two had the chicken and two had the salmon. Everything was cooked well - no complaints at all. The open fire was very welcome. Would we go back - definitely!!
Brought my Wife, Mother and lttle Grandson for lunch today - recommended by Friends. What a wonderful warm welcome from the Owner, roaring fire and wonderful ambience. Excellent food, great attentive friendly service from the Staff - will certainly return and recommend to others, many thanks, The Carson's and Shaw's.
Came across this public house and what find..although it was a Sunday they was very busy and take bookings for food but they kindly managed to squeeze a loverly table for two and a little dog which was very much appreciated.the staff was very polite and very hard working and it was extremely obvious that they work very good has a team in the role each played .the food was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection and I must say me and my wife haven't eaten has good quality food at reasonable price for sometime these days. Normally would say we could have done better at home but not in this case loved it,definitely will be calling back again...thank you.
