We went for a meal here during our honeymoon week. The food was superb. I had the barnsley lamb chop and its the best chop I've ever had! We ate in the lovely restaurant and the staff were lovely, very friendly. Will be back when we're that way again. Would definitely recommend.
Had a very lovely dinner, bed and breakfast here. Beautiful 4 poster bed, open fire, delicious chicken with lemon and pepper sauce. Traditional inn with lovely hosts, particularly enjoyed the barman's tales about the queens visit in 2010 she had a pub lunch!.
Lovely little bar with some great pub grub on! The drinks prices are quite expensive compared to the bars in the surrounding area. I nearly died at the price of the soft drinks but we had a nice family meal and couldn't complain at the food prices and the quality was great. Good Guinness on tap but again a lot more expensive than surrounding bars.
Disappointing. While the room was clean, the pillows were thin, lumpy and uncomfortable, very much in need of replacing. There was also a lot of light pollution from the very bright lanterns on the out building in the car park. Softer lit lanterns or black out curtains would help that.. The evening meal was poor quality, bland and unenjoyable, the style akin to something you might have been fed in a pub a few decades ago; both of us were left with bloating and indigestion. At breakfast we were given a pot of coffee that was made with instant coffee, rather than fresh coffee. While the meat option came with sausage and bacon, the veggie option was very small, one egg, beans, tomatoes hash brown and a sliced mushroom. It would have been better and more proportionate with an additional egg and a veggie sausage. The hot water in the shower tended to come and go. We felt the experience was overpriced and out dated.
Had a very comfortable 2 night stay. Very clean, friendly service, great breakfast and delicious evening meals. Big car park.Rooms: 5/5
Just had a lovely 2 night break at rhe Inn with beautiful food. The owners and all the staff made us extremely welcome and the lovely log fire was a bonus.
Played golf in Scarborough and found this gem of a place to stay in. Far enough outside Scarborough to avoid the hustle and bustle, or a £10 taxi ride if you want it. Hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. Great vibe in the bar and restaurant area, with an ample choice of mainstream and premium lagers/ales/ciders. Food was delicious too. Accommodation itself was very clean with the usual home comforts you’d expect. Nice to find a place with ample car-parking. The ‘Blacksmiths Arms Inn’ is also an attractive looking building. Nice one ‘Blacksmiths’, keep up the good work ‍
Lovely relaxed meal on nice table in dining room. Food delicious, ample and salmon thoroughly enjoyable and best of all it was piping hot. Seemed expensive but weighing up everything good price.
After a Lonnng, Hot Walk a Pint of Cold Lager was very much Appreciated ahem and Deserved!. We sat Outside because we had the Dog, but we did notice a sign saying Dogs Welcome. Benches were Clean. Pint was Pricey, but this can't be Helped. Would Definitely visit Again, maybe even have a Meal next Time.
Partner and I stayed here for the weekend recently and we were very pleased with accommodation very peaceful found staff very helpful and friendly food was excellent only set back was at breakfast no black pudding but still excellent if we get the opportunity to visit Scarborough again would definitely book here to stay
