Had a very nice lunch. I had the cheese pot pie, friend had belly pork. Both had cheesecake for pudding which I highly recommend. Also the hot chocolate is too die for. I will definitely return. Super busy, staff were still friendly and happy.
Fab! I loved the braised pork don't quote me on the name! and the location is lovely, a minute walk from the magnificent Lincoln cathedral. A wee suggestion, the wine by the glass was good enough, but I felt it was not up to scratch with the rest. Still a full 5 star rating for me. The service was perfect, friendly, discrete and attentive as it should be. Next time I'll try one of those pies...
Lovely meal, arrived around 12.15, plenty of seating, warm and welcoming service. Beef and ale, chicken and leek pies for the adults - served on a bed of mash with seasonal veg - broccoli, red cabbage and swede, all very tasty. Kids meals were also very good. Family of four ate for just under £50.
Loved this place and their food. I got this meat pie. It was super yummy and rich in flavour. The staff are so friendly and great. Highly recommended if you ever come to Lincoln.
Absolutely phenomenal. Best meat pies I've ever had. We had a steak and kidney pie and a game special pie. Both were amazing, flaky crust, excellent gravy, the meats were delicious. The game pie also has an orange zest to the gravy that is mind blowingly good. You'd be daft to not get the mash with it. We got one of the garlic flavored mash and one of the cheese. Some of the best mashed potatoes I've had in my life, not just in England. The cheese one was almost approaching an alligot. So good. The veg was decent, the standout being the red cabbage, cooked with raisins or sultanas. Light tartness to liven up the cabbage. Super friendly staff. And though they don't mention it on the website they are very dog friendly! Wonderful place. Will make a point of making a reservation here whenever we are in Lincoln!
Very disappointed. Was looking forward to using our gift vouchers. They missed of the veg and gave us crumble instead of sticky toffee pudding. Joke.

I'm not sure if it was just a bad night but the service wasn't great. It took a long time for our order to be taken and for us then to be told that half of the pies that we had ordered had run out. I had the vegetable & tomato pie and the top of the pie was rock solid; I couldn't even cut through it. The separate veg was undercooked and again took a while to come after our pies were set down. The vegetarian pies don't come with gravy and when I asked if they had any I was looked at as if I'd asked for baby vomit on my plate and told 'that's why the tomato sauce is there'.. the small amount of tomato jus on the plate just below the pie in case you're wondering. I'm not sure about everyone else but if I'm having pie, mash and veg then I want gravy with it. Granted the mash was nice but for what we got this place is overpriced.
We randomly dropped in here during a weekend away with our kids visiting Lincoln. I think we will be talking about the best pie we have ever eaten for years to come! Staff were all wonderful, lovely and chatty and really accommodating with our little ones. The food is seriously good and great value for the quantity. The mushy peas- absolutely divine!!!! My only complaint is that we are a 3 hour drive from these pies and they have ruined all other pie for me!
Went for mother's day, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every single meal was so full of flavour, fresh and piping hot. Most of the family are veggie/pescatarian so the fish pie and cheese pie were a great choice, and they loved them! The only fault was that we waited an hour for our food...however, we were made aware that there were a few issues with the kitchen at the time, and were compensated with drinks whilst we waited. To be honest, I'd wait 3 hours for that beef & ale pie...it's that good!! Followed by sticky toffee pudding and baileys cheesecake. Which lasted 3 seconds...everything is homemade and SO tasty. Can't fault the food, so glad they've kept the Brown's recipes after all these years!
