We're slightly off the beaten track, but those who know about us can't help but come back again and again. Heart and soul goes into everything we do here.
Caffe Portico was taken over by Sim in 2011 and since then he has grown this small Italian Caffe into a home from home for all who have sought us out. We're located on the corner of Grantham Street and Flaxengate, so a little off the beaten track, but those who know about us can't help returning time and time again. Each guest is greeted as friend at Caffe Portico and we love the rapport with our regulars.
We love to source our produce locally;
Our bread is baked daily and comes from Ticklebelly Bakery in Lincoln
Our pork is supplied by the award winning Redhill Farm.
Our free range eggs come from Priory Free Range Foods.
We source our coffee from Roost, a small independent roastery in Yorkshire, who's origins stem from Lincolnshire. They make a blend of Coffee just for us.
Our cakes now have a well deserved reputation. We always have a great selection of homemade favourites made for us by either Lisa or Lana and some Italian favourites from Sim's childhood to spoil you for choice.
Caffe Portico has a growing reputation as one of Lincolns best Jazz night spots. Each event has its own specially prepared menu for a night of great food and music in a cosy atmosphere.
Not only do we host a range of live music acts, we're available to hire out for private events, from full three course meals, to buffet and bar. You can enquire at the Caffe for more details.
If that all wasn't enough, we have recently started serving pizza every Friday and Saturday evening from our very own wood fired pizza oven, built by Sim himself (with a little help).
So come along for excellent coffee, friendly service and a varied menu of Italian favourites and English classics.
