Popped into Browns in Leeds City Centre on a quiet Wednesday arvo. My partner and I treated ourselves to their British Afternoon Tea set, and it was proper posh. The place has this swanky modern grand cafe vibe, all sleek and stylish. Being midweek, it was blissfully peaceful. The whole vibe was dead fancy but not stuffy for me at least. Tiered stand came loaded with dainty sarnies, scones that were just chef's kiss, and some seriously indulgent cakes. Tea selection was top-notch, I also had cappucino coffee which was creamy but light, perfect blend. And the staff were attentive without being in your face. If you're after a bit of midweek indulgence without the weekend crowds, this is your spot. If you're after a bit of British elegance, this is your place. Perfect for a chilled date or just treating yourself!
I just had a lovely meal with my dad here. Lety was lovely and really attentive, and we had a great time. All the food was cooked well and the wine was great too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a nice meal outFood: 5/5
Food was good, drinks nice and the server was lovely, however the restaurant had not 1 bottle of ketchup in the whole place. The state of the bathroom was horrific though, I'm glad I went after my meal as I dont think I would have been as comfortable eating there. I will not return for that reason.
Took a while to order cause the restaurant was busy, but it’s totally fine nothing too crazy. Food was nice, atmosphere was great and our waitress Darcy is amazing!Food: 4/5
My experience at Brows for afternoon tea was enjoyable overall. While I noticed the staff seemed somewhat undertrained, the restaurant offers a fantastic view perfect for savoring your tea. The menu boasts a variety of options, each a delightful choice to sample. If you're seeking a laid-back atmosphere to indulge in conversation over tea, Brows is the ideal destination for you.. The fantastic setting and the service were amazing. Our waitresses Ruby was lovely welcoming and friendly and professional the food was amazing. Can't wait to come back again ! Maybe mothers Day .Food: 5/5
Always a fabulous night when we have dinner at Brown's. Same level of food and service regardless of location... hope to see you all againFood: 5/5
Very empty at 2.30pm on a weekday, service very slow, items ordered were forgotten. All in all food good Pulled lamb shepherd’s pie lovely and tasty all though there were quite a few lumps of fat. Bread basket we ordered immediately to arrive before even ordering starters wasn’t delivered until our main course. Waiting to pay bill took forever due to ‘system problems’
We recently visited here for family gathering. Booked online for table for 8 people deposits required. It was Thursday evening and very quiet. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks. The fillet steak and salad here are always great. They also care about the allergy so my family can eat very comfortably. We also tried some cakes from here last time and me and my husband absolutely loved it. It looked pretty and tasted really good. One negative point is that they often take relatively long time to serve our drinks and they sometimes forget our drink orders it’s not only once it happened before too. Anyway, we will come back for sure if we have any special occasions.
We had actually booked to go to Banyan but when we arrived it was so bloody awful that we left immediately & came straight to Browns & thank goodness we did. It's a stunning interior & the service complimented the place itself. The waiter was just lovely. So polite & attentive & not over-bearing. There was a guy singing & playing piano which really made the evening special. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. It felt like a real treat for 5 ladies after the theatre. Really amazing. Thankyou so very much xxx
