Italian Wine Café in the UK serving our family produced Sicilian wines & authentic Italian spuntini.

Story

In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved - and missed - the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family.

By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini, platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers.

Our wines come from the family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

I think I'll let my photos do the talking for this review. We come in here a few weeks ago and totally loved this. We had one of the shared boards see the pics and it was amazing! The staff and the service were fantastic and the atmosphere was nice, but quiet as we went early. I definitely recommend it.Food: 5/5
My partner and I chose Veeno Leeds as our party venue to celebrate our civil partnership, which we booked for private hire with our 100 guests. We absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere and appreciated Nico the Manager looking after us throughout the whole process. Thank you to all the team for looking after us! The food, the wine, the space for live music and the environment were superb! Pre-ordering our food and drink was straightforward and everybody made us feel very special. We would definitely recommend hiring Veeno Leeds for a party and can’t thank the team enough
Grazie mille Andreea! One of the best service and hospitality attitude. Me and my friend just jumped in the first restaurant to have a simple lunch, but instead we laughed so much, with good jokes and amazing atmosphere, we easily passed into a dinner The rose home wine was very light and tasty. We had lasagna and Parmigiana, which were also very good. We also recommend ice cream and of course limoncello, thank you for unfortunately experience in Leeds!
Today we did the trip to Sicily wine tasting as a late birthday treat. Ben and nico were extremely warm and knowledgeable, leading to an absolutely brilliant lunchtime experience for us both. Some absolutely fantastic wines to taste alongside beautifully presented and tasty food. Thank you!Food: 5/5
Myself and my Fiancé came for a Sicilian wine tasting experience and we would highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good wine. Nico was a great host and explained the wines in detail, he made the experience even more special. We will be back for certain!Food: 5/5
We just did the Taste of Sicily experience & honestly had the best time! The food & wine were incredible but the experience was completely made by Nico. He was honestly incredible & taught us so much about the wines - I can’t compliment him enough PS they have the best tiramisu you will ever eat!
Visited for the first time around 2 years ago, and has always been my go to when I'm in Leeds ever since! My cousin loves it so much we went there just for thee desserts from another restaurant the desserts are incredible, I'm patiently waiting for when the sicilian lemon cake comes back, it was the best dessert I'd ever eaten anywhere and 2 years on I still dream of it. The staff are lovely and charismatic, you can have a good chat and laugh with them - especially Andrea, he's an absolute sweetheart and made the experience absolutely lovely, it was such a wonderful environment. My only room for complaint is that I wish they had a Veeno in the city where I do university! Chow!

Nico and his team were so welcoming and accommodating. Nico’s knowledge on the wine and food pairings and wine in general were incredible and we learnt so much. It was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to take my dad in January as a Christmas present! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening and accommodating the fact I don’t drink red wine!
Absolutely loved the Taste of Sicily wine tasting experience, the wine was gorgeous and the food as delicious. The experience was really made by our lovely server Lucia who made our night really special by explaining about all the wines in detail and answering our questions. We had such a special night celebrating our anniversary, thank you so much! Highly recommend this experience for something a little different but so enjoyable.
