Went to the Brown Hare on Thursday with my fiance and we both only had a starter each as we had been out for the day. My fiance ordered a prawn cocktail and I had the pate. The prawn cocktail had about 7 or 8 prawns in it and there was almost no salad with it. The sauce with the prawns tasted awful and my fiance couldn't eat it. My pate had a strange taste and really didn't taste very nice at all and was very unusual in texture. When the waitress came to ask us if everything was ok we told her about the starters and she took them back to the kitchen. We were offered a free dessert each but we really didn't want to have one. We have had many a nice meal in the Brown Hare before but sadly we won't be going there again!!

Service a lot slower today as that experienced on previous occasions. Had to ask them to hurry things up as two of our party of 15 had a tight schedule. Had to wait over half an hour for our starters after the girl came out to confirm our order a couple of times. Having said that the staff were very friendly and the food was good. Pity about the long wait as there was not many people in apart from our party.
