Called up multiple times to ask about opening times - obviously to the same member of staff. Kept being told he was closed (despite it being about quarter to nine and opening hours being advertised as 11pm) until I mentioned that I saw that the opening hours were on the website. At this point I was told there was a problem with the website and I couldn't turn up because they were closed and then I was told because he was busy with customers. My only query was whether I could come in to pick up a form for a passport name change (this branch is listed as one of the places I could drive by and pick up a paper form - not even have to interact with staff, I could've picked it up and not added to the busy queue!) but it was batted off and I was hung up on twice before I could get an answer to my query. I'm sure the other branch members are lovely as have been post office staff wherever I go but I'm thoroughly disgruntled with the service of this one staff member. This is not a complaint against the post office as a whole but just the man who manned the phones tonight. If there was a legitimate issue then it was not communicated to me effectively and to be told that he was too busy to talk to me and answer one query just seemed like pretty poor customer service to me.
