I booked a furniture collection on line as bhf states it does house clearances including all furniture with safety certificate and wooden furniture,clothes curtains Lady from local shop rang to confirm items which included a sofa 2 wardrobes and some pictures and curtains Driver arrived eventually They don't take wardrobes or sofa or curtains. Complete waste of time. I could have taken pictures myself at my convenience to alternative charity shop and not waited in all morning.. My advice if you have a house clearance particularly following bereavement is to use a different charity as the website declaration of acceptable donations and the reality is not the same. My impression was that the shop/driver could not be bothered.

Extremely Rude and arrogant with zero customer service skills!!! overpriced second hand furniture. They are not willing to drop the prices or negotiate. they are selling second hand poor conditioned furniture at the same price as a brand new. Don't bother go there.

Avoid like the plague! Arranged donation of two wardrobes to BHF Leyton. Waited in all day for the items to be collected. On first occasion, driver claimed to have come to house and there was no answer - this was a lie (someone was at home). On second occasion driver refused to take item as he said it had to be attached to the wall. We were not told about this when booking the item (the shop knew what it was) and this is not stated on the charity’s website. We spoke to the shop - when we eventually got through the manager was evasive and rude. Do yourself a favour and donate items to a charity that cares about its donors and doesn’t treat them with contempt.

Very large charity shop which sells various donated furniture and home electronics. Some interesting vintage furniture and TVs for people who like vintage. Really cheap prices. Good location on High Street. Friendly staff. Short walk from Leytonstone tube station

When I was there I thought I was having a great experience, until the next day to find out that what I requested to be saved so I could measure up was never actually saved. It was bought. So buy it if you like it there and then because they will sell it, regardless of quotes you and staff arrange. Disappointing. It may be a charity but you still need the same level of customer service as everybody else.
