We just stopped in for some food and glad we did. Nice old style pub with lots of parking and nice decor, friendly service and great food with big portions. Certainly would and tried to come back but wasn't open Monday, and some other nights
As an XL bully owner it's hard to find places to sit and have lunch on sunny afternoons to help teach him social skills an to be less reactive but the britannia inn blew us away they welcomed us the same as every other dog owner that came there pets, they brought us a bowel of water an even allowed us to purchase a plate of beef an turkey for keemo to dine with us so we could enjoy our roast dinners which are amazing, take in the views an beautiful weather, he settled lovely an wasn't interested in the other customers by the time we left which is a massive win in his training, support like this goes a long long way to ensure we can teach him to be the best behaved pooch he can be I would 100% recommend this place to everyone

Spent a lovely night on a short break.nThe reception was very good as we were shown to the room.nnPart of the hotel dates from the 12 century !nnWe dined there in the evening the food was very tasty , the staff and service was excellent.nIn the morning substantial tasty cooked breakfast with choice of fruit juices and choice of eggs however you want them done. Plenty of freshly freshly brewed tea and white and brown toast with marmalade and strawberry jam.nPlenty of car parking.nLovely views.nRoom was fresh and clean.nThe owner was very pleasant and friendly.nnWell worth staying or sampling their tasty menus.
