Decent pub on park Street. Different areas of seating, if you are a big fan of gin then come here as they have a big selection. They have a good selection of cocktails and wine. It's open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have 2 4 1 burgers in Monday and tapas deals on Wednesdays. Service is friendly, prices are slightly steeper.
Avoid at all costs! We popped in for a quick drink when heading up Park Street. Was greeted by an incredibly rude bartender sat on her phone, who was clearly annoyed she had to serve people. Over priced drinks with not a great selection, I asked for ice in my rum and coke and she flat out refused, saying they 'don't have ice here' which is ridiculous, especially as they advertise cocktails. Either she was lying or the pub is even more disastrous than I thought. Dirty tables even though it was practically empty inside, with a miserable atmosphere, mainly due to miserable server. Not coming back.
2-for-1 cocktails all night which is great! And when our second batch didn't arrive for a while we were given free tequilas to make up for it, that's how you turn a negative in to a positive, good job!
One star is a little harsh. Staff were great. But if you can't make cocktails, don't make them, you are conning people. You are a good pub. Know your place.
What a bizarre experience that was. The owner was inexplicably angry and rude as I was trying to explain to him that I wasn't ordering the drinks, that my friend was. He actually called security when I was unable to tell him what everyone was having, and had me and my friends removed from the bar. It was so surreal, too surreal to be rude in fact, it was just weird.
Chicken burger and sweet potato fries were really overcooked and dry. Veggie curry and normal chips were nice though. Cocktails were ok but tasted more like mocktails and took a loooong time to be made.
Good at atmosphere with excellent live music. Drinks were reasonably priced and there were enough bar staff on to get drinks quickly too. Very friendly staff
Badly managed, not enough staff ONE guy cooking food in the kitchen, running the bar AND hosting pub quiz?!, this kind of pressure makes for bad customer service and rude staff. Also, quiz is just downloaded not written by the quiz master so not worth £2 a person.
Really nice pub, often with live music. There is a quieter seating area out of the way at the back. It's quite narrow so can be difficult moving about when busy.
Great place for a drink after work with colleagues. Good location on Park Street for food etc. The only downsides are the toilets need updating / functioning. Also more bet staff during busy periods.
