The best views of this nature reserve can be had from the sea wall encircling the outskirts of Brightlingsea, heading towards Alresford Creek. Brightlingsea Marsh is really no more than a flat expanse of long grass, mostly of interest to birdwatchers. The area itself is something of a no-mans-land & unsuitable for access outside the perimeter paths...

It's not a place you can visit or see much of. It's more observable from the pathway around the creek. Even then it just looks like a field.

I used to live here. Theres not much in Brightlingsea but this walk does make it nice.

A simple walk from the town by the sea and into the heart of the reserve , Coffee shops in town .

Amazing place for nature and birdwatching recommended
