Brilliant staff very helpful but have been trying to get hold of gp for 3 days I have heart failure and need to check my blood pressure but without luck I'm always no 30 in que I waited then no gp appointments left this needs to be sorted out I know go are over worked Just a few days
I don’t know why this place gets such harsh reviews, but when I call up even though it may take some time in a queue I always get to speak to a doctor the same day. I have spoken to Dr Naveen Sahu for concerns and he has investigated them straight away and takes you seriously and is very efficient. Really happy with this practice and this doctor makes me feel very comfortable discussing concerns. Thank you!
Called at bang on 8am, was instantly number 22 in the queue, 45 minutes later I've went down to 15. Who talks to 7 people in 45 minutes!!!! Even if there's only 1 person answering the phones that is still pathetic. Currently in the process of moving doctors, I've had enough of this.
So, as I type this, I am caller 5 which hasn't changed in 20 minutes. Then when I get through, I'm assessed to see if I need an appointment. Two of the other doctors left me with worse injuries, one of these was where a GP told me to take more morphine because he didn't believe that I broke a bone. I broke 5. Recently tried to get an emergency appointment in person, the doctor wouldn't walk to the desk from 1ft away to see I needed help and said he would call. I got home and a call from the receptionist that it wasn't urgent. I then ended up in hospital all over the Christmas period, ten hours later, dismissed again. There are GPs who explicitly look down on my health condition and trying to get anything sorted is a nightmare. 30 minutes have gone and I am still #5 while sitting here worried. There are excellent doctors and other staff here but getting to see them is impossible and the two worst doctors are outright dismissive and dangerous at worst. Should I have needed to have my hand heal badly because the doctor thought it couldn't be that bad? 4 at 40m! It isn't just me, they told my dad with diabetes and a heart issue that his foot pain was nothing. He had a badly blocked artery and now faces an excruciating recovery because this was missed over and over until he saw a walk-in doctor. I don't want to be critical but it's awful and I know that COVID did damage but it's not just me. I have spoken to other people with these issues. #3 at 45 minutes. I guess it's good that I am very disabled and can just wait.
Phone lines open at 8 am called at 9.30 am called back at 10.45 am told doctors have gone home as it's staff training and to call back tommorow... I'm no expert but surely there has!!! To be a solution to this ...I'm sick of paying for NI and taxes and waiting stupid amounts of time for results ... Mean while ... You sit there waiting while anxiety builds ...nothing is resolved and you just wait!!! we are are waiting and waiting and waiting... So it is now day 2 called @ 8.10 requested a call backas I was in the que was called back at 10 am and guess what there's no available appointments and guess what call back tommorow... Good news as I was advised is the walk in centre is open till 8 am tonight ... ... If anyone else is fed up of this now's. The. Time to act ..day three same dance ... Call back at 8 am at this rate I feel like I'm in the waiting room from beetle juice ... At least he had the hope of being seen
This surgery is amazing. The Staff and Doctors are lovely. The Nurse is lovely. I have recently moved from a surgery were you would have to brace yourself to speak with the staff. Honestly the best thing I did was move myself and my son. Thanks Bridge Road it's appreciated
We have had to phone and visit this surgery numerous times over the past 2 years as my husband has been diagnosed with progressive neurological condition. The support we have had from Dr McDonnell has been wonderful, very reassuring and nothing has been too much trouble. The reception staff have always been friendly and helpful passing messages and forms we needed to the doctors. Thanks again
What is the problem with answering the phones? I start at no.10 in the queue, half hour later I've just got to no.8... this is in the afternoon so not when the scramble for an appointment is on, if it takes someone that long on reception then I suggest hiring someone else, oh wait there's already 4 receptionists isn't there?
granted this surgery has had issues in the past, usually I would have to travel to the surgery to book appointments as the phone systems are so busy or simply not attended. But today I have managed to get through within a reasonable amount of time, I have also been given the advice I needed. It seems the practice are simply trialling new ways to operate to ensure an efficient service going forward. overall I really do feel this surgery gets criticised unnecessarily. Since having my daughter they truly have been marvellous.
Never ever ever answer the phone, I walked there to make my appointment and while I was In there they were not busy on the phone and the surgery was extremely quiet so I decided to ring the reception just for my own peace of mind just to see why no one answers, low and behold it was ringing out on my phone but there was no sound from the reception phone, When asked if there was a problem with their phone I got a blunt 'no'! I'll be making a complaint as yet again today there not answering and it's just ringing and ringing and ringing, worst doctors surgery in Britain
