Breakfast Club Hackney Wick
"This caf was born on the banks of the River Lee in May 2016, coincidentally down the road from where The Big Breakfast used to be filmed! With the windows open wide on a steamy summer’s day, you’ll see why some people call this place the Hackney Riviera."

I have never understood calling a place a “cafe”, that just sells coffee and croissants. When did the British become so cosmopolitan? it’s like having a horse just to walk it around……boring!!! So it was refreshing today, when I stumbled upon The Breakfast Club. It literally took me to the old style, Sir Alan Sugar days of “You’re fired” -where they used to go to the cafe and have a decent breakfast and not just “croissants”!! We had a delicious breakfast with a wonderfully brewed mocha and I loved everything from the poached eggs to the house potatoes and the service was phenomenal. They are pet friendly, they serve breakfast all day, the toilets are clean and I would try the fluffy pancakes when you go. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes were clearly labelled and delicious.
Lovely restaurant in Hackney Wick. The staff was friendly and welcoming, as well as the place in general. We had the blueberry pancakes and the waffles with crispy chicken to share. I imagined the chicken to be more crispy but overall, the quality of its products and experience was good. The prices of the dishes are also what you would expect in London.
I love a good brunch spot and the Breakfast Club Hackney Wick is exactly that. Really nice cozy atmosphere next to the canal. Highly recommend dining alfresco on a nice summer day. Menu is broad with all the components of a good brunch; eggs, pancakes, waffles and hot beverages. We had a variety of meals which were all delicious. Service was also very fast. Got our plates in less than 10 minutes of ordering. Only negative feedback is that our server was rushing us through our meal. Kept coming to our table to ask if we were done even though we had food on our plates and was still eating. Besides that bad experience I’d visit again
We had a lovely brunch on a warm Sunday afternoon, seated outdoors enjoying the lovely weather. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The food seasoned with flavour, very filling with a large portion size. I went for the fried chicken bacon & waffles. I was not a fan of the amber juice drink, too sour for my tastebuds. Overall was a great experience.
Very nice weekend brunch experience in this branch where located right next to the Hackney Canelside. The food is very delicious. I am a big fan of avocado so I go for the Avocado toast plate with bacon and sausage. The portion is quite large for girl. Also we orders All eggs plate with smoked salmon and sausage. The food is fresh and yum. Would love to try different branches of the Breakfast Club!
The breakfast club is an established brand in London, originating in Angel Islington. This venue at Hackney Wick holds up to its reputation quite nicely. We arrived there on a Sunday mid morning, not too hopeful that we would find a table for 5, but we did! I would recommend booking though. The decoration and atmosphere in the restaurant is great. It looks vintage and a bit rough around the edges but still welcoming. We had a few things from the menu. It was all cooked well, seasoned appropriately and generous. I would definitely recommend the chicken, bacon and waffle, as well as the Huevos Rancheros dish and the Club med Benedict. I enjoyed equally the berries smoothie although the coconut milk flavour might have overpowered the rest of the flavours. I heard good things about the coffees that my companions ordered too. The place was clean, they have a good amount of tables outside near the canal and the staff was very pleasant.
Visited The Breakfast Club on a Sunday with my friends. Must say this place located near the canal was the perfect brunch spot. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one was a delight. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful, the avocado toast was perfectly seasoned, and the salmon and egg toast was a mouthwatering combination. We also had coffee and refreshing smoothies. I’ll definitely return for more breakfast goodness! Dietary restrictions: They have a menu dedicated to vegetarian/vegan options with dietary guidelines
Got the pancakes, fruit and syrup with some milkshakes. The pancakes were a bit dry but that was because we didn’t order any creamalways get cream and we got peaches it works best to get the blueberries! Parking: There is a parking lot in a multi-store complex next door for cars and bike parking infront of the venue. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids were there so it is very kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access for wheelchair and kids
This is one of my favourite breakfast spots in London. The really have some unique combinations and original items i.e. THE UNFORGETTABLE BACON! Nice vegan options too. I gave the service 3 stars because we were seated on the further table on the outdoor dining area, which inevitably meant we got ignored a lot of the time and getting the attention of staff was very difficult. The wait for the food was also painfully slow, we waited 45mins but honestly, the food was really good. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section on the menu Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options Parking: Huge paid parking lot nearby Kid-friendliness: Lovely atmosphere in the area, suitable for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
I never knew this place existed untill a friend of mine introduced me to the breakfast club. First impressions count when I visit a new establishment and would like to start off my saying “Amy” the waitress who took care of us is a absolute gem - Very friendly, polite and very welcoming. We ordered a variety of foods but I wanted to try their full Monty. Absolutely delicious food, well cooked and well seasoned fries! Great area just by the canal/river, Good meat options and vegetarian options available. I would definitely recommend visiting the breakfast club and will be returning in the near future.
