Accidentally finding out my mom had lost a dramatic amount of weight and no one from bramley grove informing any family member i moved her out immediately The results were astonishing the frail skeletal grubby clothed untouched hair shock when we first saw her emerge from bramley grove were reversed completely In my opinion this place is a disgrace and unfit for purpose The dramatic change in my mom after moving to a caring well run care home says everything to me about how appallingly my mom was treated at bramley grove How they could let a senior citizen get so thin and unhappy beggers belief I found out during an assessment she was showing signs of anxiety during her stay no one there told us this either i also found out she needed prompting to eat this was obviously due to unhappiness and anxiety as she has never needed prompting before or after her stay at bramley this again was not relayed to any family member She had many UTIs followed by falls resulting in a hospital stay one of which she contracted covid it seems to be a pattern and a red flag that many UTIs followed by a fall then hospital visit as being a badly run carehome dont put up with UTIs and falls it shouldn't happen in a well run carehome and it stopped for my mom when she left this awfull place After my mom left i put these complaints to bramley in the nieve thinking this would help other residents They just dismissed them with the usual management speak drivel and took no responsibility so i took it to the council who upheld some of my complaints As i have stated the rapid decline of my mom at bramley then the difference after leaving her gaining weight laughing and happy in clean clothes no UTIs or falls or eating problems is all you need to know to realise this place is an apalling care home with the only redeaming feature the receptionist who was freindly and professional the exact opposite of the management In my opinion bramley grove is a prime example of the broken care system charging £900 a week for a service that is no where near fit for purpose. Bramley grove is attached to the back of bramley court they try and make a distinction between the two but my complaint response was on bramley court headed paper.
