Bournville Bread Basket made an amazing garden themed cake for my Wife's 50th birthday party. It was really quite spectacular - my wife and all the guests absolutely loved it.
Today my hubby and I called in to this shop and bought a cherry pie, apple turnover and two custard tarts, all freshly made on the premises the cakes were demolished this evening and were yummy, the pie we saved for tomorrow. As it was such a lovely day we decided to stay for scones and tea served out in the sun, although we chose to place ourselves under the bright yellow sun shade! Each table had a pot of fresh flowers presented in decorated tea pots and looked so welcoming. Our tea and scones were delicious and we spent a little time chatting to Sally the owner whose infectious and cheerful attitude certainly rubbed off onto her staff who were helpful and professional in their work. Having purchased cakes and pies from Sally on previous occasions I am somewhat puzzled at the review suggesting they came from Greggs and not baked on the premises, this is nonsense and needs to be challenged! Additionally, Sally bakes the most amazing celebration cakes, a couple of years ago I ordered a Derby County themed cake for my brother’s 80th birthday that was absolutely spectacular! Therefore I can highly recommend you call in and support the Breadbasket....oh I forgot to mention the selection of breads, and the pies....go and see for yourself, well done Sally and staff you are doing a great job!
Lovely little bakery. Very friendly staff and the bread and sandwiches are delicious especially the pulled pork baps. If you like baked goods also very nice selection of tarts, ginger bread and other things! Never had a bad experience been going most days now since January 2022.
Bread basket made the most perfect customised cupcakes for my parent's wedding anniversary at quite short notice. They couldn't do enough for us and the cupcakes look fantastic and taste even better! Very reasonable in price, I would definitely go there again!

This is my favourite stopping-off place when out and about. Great food. Great service. Great at putting up with me - Pensioner. Always interesting people to chat with and a view to die for - Bournville Green.
Came here for a samosa, roast chicken and pork sandwiches which tasted great. The nice lady even came out to keep us updated on how long it will take take. Definitely recommend
brilliant little place to eat. get the hot pork batch 2 or 3 times a week, as well a hot chocolate, always delicious and the staff are very friendly. highly reccomend if you are in the area and need a bite to eat
Fantastic freshly baked bread!! It was still warm, and for the same price as a sliced loaf from the supermarket a complete bargain. Lovely friendly staff, a great range of goods, what more could you want from a local independent bakery
Fantastic local bakery serving a large selection of breads, pastries, sandwiches etc. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hot sandwiches are delicious!
