Bookmarks, the socialist bookshop, is Britain's best independent bookshop. The TUC's official bookstore, it stocks just about every book that an activist could want.

From the writings of Marx and Engels, to Eric Hobsbawm, Owen Jones, Tony Benn, Chris Harman, George Monbiot, Arundhati Roy, Alex Callinicos, Leon Trotsky, Rosa Luxembourg and Tony Cliff. The best in new novels and radical reads... and we can supply any book that is in print. We also stock Trade Union pamphlets, magazines and leftie newspapers.

There's a large selection of fiction and progressive childrens' books as well as a large stock of second hand books.

Please don't give your cash to multinational book companies that squeeze the life out of independent book retailers and use non-union labour - get your books from Bookmarks, the socialist bookshop.

I really enjoyed visiting and conversing with a radical bookshop full of ideas and plans for positive advancement. May they stand strong for many,  many more years to come. We need successive generations to learn and build on history.

possibly my favorite bookstore. the children's books are a must buy.

Not the right place to bring up a political conversation. Was ushered out the store very quickly a year back after making a sly joke to a friend of mine about communism. If you are pro communism or socialism I am sure this is your kinda place, anyone who enjoys a good mao joke on the other hand please stay clear

Excellent range of books, pamphlets and films, old and new. Sold by knowledgeable and time served political activists. If there's something you want that they don't have, they will order it for you.

Great selection of books with very competitive price. Bought the new Wael Hallaq book that’s very cheap compared to any other bookstores. They got dozens of Lenin books and very good selection of used books. The kid’s section is very cozy and lovely. Nice background music too.

Must go to bookshop. So many interesting publications on politics. I was particularly impressed by the extensive literature on current social and political issues. A must visit if you are in London and care about knowledge
