Excellent Nursery and The Mill Cafe is a must-visit! The Nursery always has a wide selection of plants at competitive prices. The Mill Cafe offers delicious food in pleasant surroundings. We visited for lunch on a very busy, sunny Saturday. Tables were available outside on a first come basis. The staff are very quick so you shouldn't have to wait too long. We ordered Bacon Quiche with salad followed by Summer Fruuts Cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Highly recommended!
Great cafe. Good food at very reasonable prices. Staff friendly and helpful Good range of plants and gardeners needs.
Really good for all plants etc. Good parking, all on the flat. Easy to find plants needed - good choice. Reasonable price. Plants look sturdy and well cared for. Staff helpful and very pleasant. Has a cafe but didn't have time to visit.
I can't begin to think of how many times I've driven past this nursery, but yet I'd never been in... Until today! Wow, I'm so impressed. All plants look super healthy, and it is really well laid out! There is so much to see, and we are already planning to return! The cafe was busy, and we now understand why! The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. Thankyou to everyone who works hard to make this nursery a success!
Traveled here for the cafe, so only walked through the nursery, but what I saw of the nursery was great. The food was really good and the service was quick. Good selection of food and drink. Came quickly and was hot. Highly recommend a visit.
Large nursery with an extensive range of plants, nice/small cafe and on our visit very, very well stocked. Prices seemed a little on the high side but plants were larger and much further forward than ours, but we're from the Midlands!
So so many plants. Would recommend to anyone who loves gardening and plants. So much choice. Great coffee shop, breakfasts, light lunches, cakes etc. Travelled an hour to get there, but so worth it. Loved it.
Great local cafe & nursery with outside eating area so you can take your fur friends too. Good food too at reasonable prices. I had the chicken & bacon sandwich which came with coleslaw & greens or just with crisps. Thought this was a great idea as every comes with leaves & I'm not one for all that too! Been before & had the soup which was delicious. Great plant selection there so you can treat your garden & yourself all in one place. Staff very friendly as well. Definitely worth a trip. I'll go back for sure.
Bodmin Nursery is one of the best in the south west. Massive selection of plants, shrubs, trees, compost, pots etc. The varitiy of each type is also wide and varied. All very good quality and grown onsite, prices are also fair/competitive. Staff friendly and knowledgeable with advise. The cafe is also good, home cooked food with nice sized portions. The cafe area is also a nice size not over crouded.
I have made many purchases here before but last March I purchased £120 of newly potted plants of echinacea, hellinium and salvias back in March. What a mistake! They were just about coming through the surface and was advised by cashier to wait a few weeks for them to develop before planting out.Within 1 week they all looked poor and half eaten by slugs. They were positoned on a protective table well away from predators.I presume the earth they used in the newly potted plants may have been contaminated. So unhappy , I emailed the nursery and finally after many emails was told that the manager Mark was dealing with my concerns and he had sent me messages. These i failed to find .So I contacted and explained i could not find his emails he told me " that it was my problem !" And "did not want to talk about it "!!!!! I am so upset the way this was not resolved favourably that it has meant me putting in this review as the customer service and the way I have be treated is below my expectations. Ultimately it cost me £120 for 10 dead plants and told its all my fault.I did ask for a compromise for 6 plants to be replaced but this has not been forthcoming and they really care nothing about my displeasure. My advise is to only purchase fully grown plants and expect little in return if all else fails. In any business customer service is important to ensure happy customers return year after year. Needless to say I wont be purchasing here ever again as this has left me with such a bitter taste. You are warned.
