A great tap house. Pub itself is very quirky inside and quite small but plenty of little crannies to site in. The ale served is of a good standard with plenty of gravity ales, which is now very uncommon.
Have always enjoyed this historic character watering hole. The live mic night was a bonus. Beer is still the main plus.
It's a propper pub for people who love good beer and a chat with friends.

Excellent little pub with a great selection of beers.
A lovely traditional proper pub. Had a great selection of ales on my visit. We had a really tasty pork pie and a cheese board too, was very filling between two of us. Friendly for away football fans. Staff were really chatty and friendly. Plenty of character in the pub in general. Thoroughly recommended.
Historic real ale pub with friendly staff. Busy bustling pub full life and great selection of ales too. They serve pork pies here. Worth a visit if you’re in Burton - you can’t miss it.
