Absolutely wonderful! Have been here time and time again, food is always great quality, with fab service, great value for money... Lovely place to sit in and out! Just brill! Will continue to return!
Amazing! Great service and lovely staff given we booked at short notice, amazing food for the whole family. Only things we could say were not so great was there were slightly too many options on the menu which made us take longer to decide, the Scottish mussels were not cleaned properly leaving them covered in barnacles on the shells but otherwise the food tasted fantastic. Complete compliments to the chef!
The Blundell is an institution around these parts, I've been eating here on and off for the last 30 odd years. Nice and spacious inside, it is a Green King restaurant, so set your expectations accordingly. The food was cooked properly and portions were decent. Steak pie in red wine was served with chips and veg carrot and cabbage. It was nice, but, its still in the back of your mind that when you eat in a chain its basically 'posh' ready meals. Dessert was Eton mess which was nice. Expensive for what it is, but the team here clearly have some pride in what they do and its still a pleasant experience eating here. Service is good and there were no long waits on what was a fairly busy evening.
Fantastic Little pub, just had a family birthday meal here , 13 of us , staff superb, service excellent & and food absolutely outstanding fresh tasty and made to perfection, will be definitely returning, I was to busy catching up with family members that we have not seen for some time I forgot so only managed to get one picture of the dessert I had ,
Always get a great meal and service. Went on Saturday 18th Feb with grandchildren. Met at the front with a fabulous greeting , children were acknowledged, and shown to our seats. Jordan was our server and what a fantastic guy. A real credit to the company. Nothing too much trouble. Interacted with the children and made our dining experience worthy of a five star experience. Thank you so much.
Great experience from start to finish. Delicious cooking smells as soon as we left the car, pub looked lively an inviting from the outside and even nicer inside.we had a good view from our window on the upper level , and we did not feel rushed when choosing from the menu. My friend asked for an item change to her meal and that was no problem. Good choice of drinks and really good quality food served on hot plates- so many restaurants forget this important issue, so it meant we could spend longer savouring our food and relaxing. Not at all disappointed anything- the service, the atmosphere cleanliness ect... overall standards we felt were very high. Thanks again to Jordan, Brandon and team for a really lovely experience! Next time we will return with a quiz team !
We had a family get together here after my mum's funeral. The building is absolutely beautiful, on a better day I would have searched out it's history. The staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Nice spread and not the usual ham butties.
After careful consideration and a response from the owner I have decided to be fair and offer a average rating. Arrived to find out they booked and couldn’t accept our party of six? Was disappointed so had to move on. A positive vibe is that they were busy so possibly offering a great pub experience? Drainage in car park to be sorted as storm water gushing all over making access rather difficult. Hopefully one day can visit and review fully. Pub with a view and easy access from main road to car park.
Today was our Hindu new year, 26/10/22 as we booked for 12 people. When we came in there was a few more and the staff was so accomodating. Couldn't fault the friendly service provided by the staff. Will definitely visit again...and thank you Blundell Arms....five stars...
Don't understand half of the poor reviews... After visiting nearby smithhill farm, our party of 6 decided to call to a local pub nearby for some dinner, we reserved online and set off. We arrived at the establishment with kids in tow and was greeted by the manager I presume, who sat us at a table. Service, drinks and food were absolutely spot on with prices reasonable. Waiting staff couldn't be more accommodating as you can imagine, with 3 young kids, things don't always go smoothly. Would not hesitate to come back atall
