Situated at the end of Rock-A-Nore Road in Hastings historic old town, there’s so much to see under the sea at Blue Reef Aquarium!
Enjoy incredibly close encounters with seahorses, native sharks, giant octopus and hundreds of amazing aquatic creatures.
At the aquarium’s heart is a giant ocean display where you walk through an underwater tunnel and come face to face with shoals of colourful fish.
Explore our Remarkable Reptiles area, home to exotic snakes and curious bearded
dragons. Then face your fears and get hands on with our reptiles during regular Animal Encounters. Open all year.

Small aquarium but great value, even better value when ordered online. We visited with a one year old and he was amazed by the fish. The aquarium could do with a touch up but overall a positive visit.

Great place for all ages, visited with 4 generations of family aged 2-78yrs. All of us enjoyed our visit very much.

Fascinating place. The grandchildren loved it. Easy to follow information and good visual opprtunitites to see all the sealife. Good for bad weather outing.

The first impression on starting the tour was less impressive however it began to be more interesting as we walked further. Good collection of marine lives. Enjoyed the time there.
