Reception staff are the friendliest GP staff I have ever come across. The GPS themselves I have never had any issue with, and my son has recently been treated post surgery by the treatment room nurses who have been great. Long wait times can’t be helped, just ring at 8.30
I rang them via a sign language interpreter and the receptionist refused to put me through said that the doctor will ring me back via the interpreter, the doctor messaged me to say that she couldn't get the interpreter I rang again and the receptionist refused again I explained that the doctor has tried and explained to me that she couldn't work the signvideo and still they refused to put me through to the doctor! The surgery can text you but you can't reply! Blocking access for the Deaf community which is awful in this day and age with the technology available they choose not to give deaf people the same access to their practice!
they will quite literally refuse to give you your medication when run out, they are an absolute joke and the receptionist must think they are trained enough to answer your issues, why aren’t ya a doctor then??? absolute shambles of a place.
I have rung this morning, number 10 in the queue, hold on till I then have to make another selection at which point I am cut off. Now too busy to get through.
Contact the surgery regularly on behalf of my elderly grandmother..... staff are fantastic and so accommodating! Only downside is the wait for the phones at times due to the volume of patients. Very grateful for everyone’s hard work
Horrendous wouldn’t even be the word to describe my experience with Bloomfield surgery rude and unhelpful reception hanging up on patients and a broken triage system designed to stop doctors seeing patients. Lazy and a complete joke for a so called health service.
The receptionists here are in dire need of basic customer service training. It's actually startling that they continue to get away with speaking to patients in the manner in which they do. I've been a patient here for almost 30 years and the decline in service over the last 10 years is unbelievable. Everytime you ring you are greeted in a condescending manner with sarcasm and abrupt rudeness regardless of the nature of the call. I don't believe mucky bits like the ones working here are really in a position to be talking to people like this. I would strongly advise retraining your staff and amending your recruitment process to ensure any future employees can be trained to behave appropriately. As you can see by the rest of the reviews, this is a recurring theme. Other members of my family have received the same treatment. It is simply not good enough. There is a serious issue with toxicity in this surgery and it is not a good look. It is not a difficult fix either. Do better.
Very poor telephone service, receptionists can be very rude and abrupt over the phone, never any appointments available usually i am told to call back in a week as they only take two weeks of apppointments at a time. When going to open surgery doctors will only hear one complaint from you and wont even listen to the second complaint to ensure that its not connected or linked to the first complaint when it has been linked in the past.
I have been with Bloomfield Surgery for sixty years, right back to the time, they were based in Hamilton Road. Doctor Nixon, and Dr Tate,Dr Crosby, were the main GPs there,Prior to moving to their current site, and have watched many GPs spend their entire working lives there, Doctor C MC Nutt now being the longest serving GP in the practice, I was quite saddened to see some of the reviews that.some people posted particularly during a worldwide pandemic. The reception staff have done an excellent job during incredibly difficult times as have the GPs who work there please try to be a little bit kinder to staff who are doing their very best to help us during the current crisis, and bear in mind every call they receive could be potentially life threatening folks
Lack of up to date information on the website on opening times, how to leave samples and the times they stop collecting samples. Lady at the desk said to bring you are supposed to samples in before lunchtime but there was no information about this from the doctor or on forms or on their website. This is very inconvenient for people who struggle to get time off work and travel to the surgery.
