Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Black Horse Inn. This is a brilliant place to stay for a couple of nights away from it all. The room was warm and comfortable with all the amenities you need, the shower was excellent (always a big plus with me!) But the best part is the food. We ate breakfast and dinner on both days and couldn't fault anything- service, ambience were all fine, drinks are good (great cask ales and gin choices), menu has a small but varied range of foods. We ate from the main menu as well as bar snacks and grilled menus and couldn't fault anything, it was all delicious. Breakfasts were also very good on the mornings. The staff were engaging, approachable and very helpful with suggestions for walks. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

What an amazing place....I was there for 3 nights. The rooms were very comfortable and with a lovely bath to. The food was great .

Extremely large and comfortable rooms well stocked with luxury toiletries, small fridge with fresh milk, orange juice and water. 'Curly wurlies' beside the tea and coffee making facilities. Great food menu for eating in the bar or restaurant. Comforting fire in the bar serving real ales along side regular beers and wines. Friendly staff never too busy to have a chat. Extremely pleased with our stay.

Very poor meal ordered med rare steak hot well done. Sauce served cold . Said they did not charge me for that steak but then charged for replacement, husbands burger was rare when asked for well done chip's cold. We gave up in the end. Wont be hoing back.
