It is a good Italian restaurant. I have been here twice. Portions are big, food is tasty and the place looks nice. It is quite compact, 20-25 people will fit but the toilet downstairs in a narrow space would be a trouble for a big crowd. It is a calm place with the a home-y atmosphere.

I've been to Romanos a fair number of times in the past and never had a bad experience. Unfortunately tonight's visit was not so good. We were left waiting 40 minutes for our main course with no explanation or apology. My daughter's pizza was not nice at all and she ended up leaving half of it. On the plus side (and the reason for the second star) they did apologise and knock the cost of her meal off the bill). Came away disappointed and hungry.

We just finished having the best dinner experience, from the pasta and wine to the lovely desert. The service was excellent, we were along way from home and they treated us like family. If you are in Barnsley, please visit them, you won't be disappointed. Ken and Patty from Newfoundland, Canada. I wish I could add a picture, we had such a good time, thank you Salvo. :)

The garlic bread starter was amazing but the mains that followed were good but not to the standard of the starter. Nice authentic Italian
