Dont waste your money! The courts are filled with leaves and dodgy bounces from the bad surface. The Portuguese manager, Cristina, kicks you off the court 7 mins before your end time with the biggest attitude aswell if you book from 8-9pm. So don't expect a full hour if you book at 8pm. For the price you pay, you’re better off going South Park, Battersea or Dukes Meadows.
Great courts and extremely helpful staff. Special shout out to Seb who helped resolve all my issues and get me all set up with an important booking for the weekend. Thanks Seb!
Really poor booking service - was left £20 out of pocket as their booking system is broken. There is one system for booking and separate system for cancellation. Which is not clearly stated anywhere. So I’ve been trying to cancel my booking using the system which I used to book, however I should have been calling their helpline to cancel - and giving them 48 hours notice - which is simply ridiculous. How was I supposed to know this I ask. HOW?
Played today. Its been raining past two days in London though today weather was Sunny but the courts were still slippery, specially on the side where the Sun doesn't shine due to being covered by Trees. The fallen tree leaves were added bonus for extra slipperiness. Further back behind the baseline, the surface could be visibly seen as covered in thin layer of Algae. Don't know how can someone play in those courts without risking injuries.
The tennis camp is not good. 2 coaches there. They don’t teach the children new things if they can at least hit the ball. Just tennis games. Doesn’t feel that welcoming, honestly. The snack shack or whatever it’s called doesn’t put up the prices for cold drinks and snacks. You don’t know how much it is and they make you pay some kind of price. For all I know, lucozade is £2.50
Plenty of courts available, and super friendly staff. It's also nice that it's right next to bishop's park :
Book early!!! Amazing flood lights at night, and it feels really safe in comparison to neighbouring Barnes. Perfect for single and double matches, and it's quite nice to book lessons now and then.
Terrible customer service. Booked a court and it was cancelled on my behalf without any notice. I emailed, regarding a refund and have yet to hear back from them many months on. I also booked a set of group coaching sessions and was notified of.a cancellation to the first class, circa 25 minutes before it was scheduled to start. I am still awaiting a refund for that particular class. Great location for a tennis club, but spoiled by the terrible customer service.
Hopeless - signed our daughter up for a 3 month course - 2 out of the first 4 classes were cancelled, with no prior warning - turned up to be told they weren’t happening. Pointless. So we cancelled the course for a full refund.
Great place with good courts and excellent managing team on site, user friendly booking system. Having played most of the public courts in Zone 2 of London myself, I would say this place would rank at the top. Moe and Vas are both great coach for a typical USAT 3.0/3.5 recreational player like me who is looking for improving his/her game but has a busy professional life. In particular, Vas is easily the best coach I have met in London I moved across the pond 5 years ago. He is very perceptive/articulate/methodical/affable. He can quickly understand the issue and come up with a real solution and explain it clearly to the audience and use a methodical drill to attain noticeable improvement in real time. He has a very high level of situational awareness on the state of the person he is coaching and provide very timely and accurate feedback to micro-adjust and improve.
