The site is within a public park but at this time of year it is very quiet. Short walk into the village and nice walks for the dog. The toilets need updating but they are clean and well maintained. I would definitely come back in the summer months when the ground is more dry and to have a go on the tennis courts.
A great location for a campervan stop. Wrapped around a small lake and a golf course the site is close to the pretty town of Biggar. Lovely staff in the Golf Course clubhouse served up great coffee and a bacon roll and a pint the previous evening. Lovely walk and friendly place
A small campsite an easy walk into Biggar, mostly seasonal pitches but a couple of touring spots available. The toilets and showers are basic but clean and usable. the park is in a fantastic spot with a large pond, part of the golf course with tennis courts, kids play park and football pitch. the staff were helpful and friendly and the prices are good. Some of the seasonal caravans look very neglected covered in moss and mildew which detracts from the appearance of the park making it look a little un-loved. A nice little site and well worth a visit.
Ideal site within grounds of a goat course. Surrounding scenery really good. Very quiet site, mainly full time residents with a few spaces for Caravans and motorhomes. Lovely duck pond on site. Facilities clean. Short walk into town. Restrooms: Restrooms kept clean. Dog-friendliness: Great place for dogs. Plenty local dog walks.
Very nice site, lovely location, duck pond great play area for the kids, lovely cafe all on site, lots to see and do close by, shower cabins are a bit basic but are warm dry and plenty of hot water.
Stayed in tents in June 2017. The ground for the tents is quite small but the view is lovely over the pond. The toilets and showers need updating. Shower is coin fed. Beware of the swans. The large swan chased us around and pecked my sons car which left dents in the wing. Nice site and quiet. Short walk to the centre of Biggar. Try the crown inn. Beer great and the food is good too.
Nice gentlemen to deal with. Very welcoming and kind. Area is well kept up. 10 min to shops and Gass museum and corn exchange currently closed. Has football pitch and a nice well kept lake and and path around and area where to sit or have a picnic. Golf is being played here so it is quite scenic place with mountains far away and fields so it makes place a bit windy so I advice to have some warm clothes if weather is not warm. Most importantly - it was quiet . You can hear the wind and tree leaves above a tent . Was a pleasure to be. I stayed with a motorbike .
Great caravan site, let down slightly by the showering facilities. Very picturesque area with plenty to do onsite and within close proximity. Playground: Great wee area for the kids to play in! Restrooms: Clean but very basic
Well what can I say. Fully open to the general public wandering through your pitch. Does not feel safe enough to leave the van. First time ever I have seen police van drive through the site. For a general visit. Pitches really close together and squashed in. To the point booked for four nights. Now looking at dropping and move on to another site. Not worth the money even at 22 quid a night. A poor poor site. In need of money to develop as some of the seasonal pitches look like abandoned caravans and a complete mess. Do not use this site
Facilities very clean and tidy but main shower block mainly out of action. Convenient for town centre.
