Nigel and Bobbie were both very professional and helpful in selling my mother's house. We were impressed with Nigel from the first meeting - he arranged an open day and found a buyer very quickly. The photos of the property were very professionally taken. We were kept informed all the way through and impressed by their efforts up to completion.
A huge thank you to Nigel for selling our house in Hertford. His expert advice was absolutely right on target and allowed us to move forward in a very timely manner. Bobbie did an incredible job all the way along and made sure that nothing fell through the cracks. Nigel definitely knows his stuff and makes you feel like you are his only customer. We would recommend Big Black Hen without hesitation.
We purchased a property for which Big Black Hen were the agents. Both Nigel and Bobbie have been really attentive and the process of buying our first home - despite what everyone told us - has been really low stress. Emails and calls all replied to promptly, they helped get measurements for appliances etc. Small things but all add up by the end of the purchase.
The Estate Agent Nigel from Big Black Hen arrived on time, which was impressive considering I'd only made the appointment the same morning, he took a look round ,and presented an estimate that was a bit higher than I was expecting, and his fees seemed much more reasonable than other Agents I had spoken to. I let them offer the house for sale, they sold it within 3 weeks, and kept us informed on the progress throughout the process up to completion.Excellent Service.
Nigel and Bobbie were amazing. From the beginning of spotting my future first property , they kept an open and very professional service throughout . Being a first time buyer it was all new to me but they reassured me throughout . The anti gazumping clause ment I felt safe throughout my purchase . I cannot thank Big Black Hen enough. I felt in extremely safe hands and would recommended anyone to use them in the buying or selling of a property !

You gave us great advice, updated us consistently throughout the sale. You both went above and beyond in getting us across the line. Nigel was very honest with us regarding pricing of our property. He arranged for someone to visit our house to make it as appealing as possible. We were kept up to date with offers. Following our sale agreement, one of his colleagues, Bobbie, was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm very happy to recommend them.
Truly FANTASTIC - the level of service, professionalism, communication, tenacity, honesty and dedication which both Nigel and Bobbie displayed throughout the whole process was and is exemplary. We purchased our new home from Big Black Hen and therefore they were representing our vendors, however it very quickly became apparent that someone needed to take ownership of the whole chain, no easy task! This was largely down to solicitors, other agencies and other parties not pulling their weight. The way the whole process was managed by Big Black Hen was outstanding, especially when Bobbie is on the case, she leaves absolutely no stone unturned and will pull out all of the stops to get that answer!! I truly believe that without their support and extremely hard work, that this process just wouldn't have worked and certainly not within the timescales.
Nigel and Bobbie were a godsend when I was selling my house. They were first with any information and kept on at the buyers solicitor when they were stalling. Would definitely recommend them as a first rate company. Wonderful service from start to finish.
