Opened late - arrived last Sunday at 12.15 and they hadn't yet opened (should have opened at 12) , the door was locked but the sign said they were open, so that was pretty annoying. Prices seemed fair but the shop is generally unpleasant to be in - it was dark and dusty and cobwebs all around the place. Interested in a couple items but they were just so dusty and discoloured, I'd rather buy the same thing elsewhere at better quality. Birds were kept in small cages and it was sad to see how distressed some of them were. We left feeling disappointed with the shop's standard for quality and sad for the creatures in there, never going back there again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. All the fish I have bought survived unlike another pet shop in Exmouth. 1happy customer.

I really dislike this pet shop, animal welfare appears to come second place behind customer service. Every time I have visited this shop, the animals do not appear to have fresh water or food, I did go back and check for a few days in a row and this was not rectified. I subsequently reported them to the RSPCA of which now they undergo regular checks. I have also noticed that while the staff were selling fish they do not ask any questions about what environment the pets are going to, e.g. size of tank and what other breeds they will be living with. This is something I know the bigger pet shops do and will not sell until they are sure it's going to a proper environment. Previous to this (as I no longer shop there) I waited at the till for at least 10 minutes while the staff were chatting. I ended up putting back my shopping and leaving, without being noticed. A plus is the range of products and the price, the staff are knowledable but on the down-side are pretty hard-sell, its similar to being in a phone shop. If you care about animal welfare please do not shop here.
