I came here from London in order to find some plants suitable for dry shade. Big shout out to Mark from Beth Chatto, who spent 45 mins showing me around the nursery and pointing out what to see in the garden. What a star! And to Irene who was very friendly in the shop too :nnTop notch gardens, nursery/shop and customer service. Thanks!
An absolutely stunning garden - so beautiful and peaceful! I visited for the first time and was warmly welcomed. I was wearing my sunflower lanyard, and particularly appreciated the care that the member of staff took to tell me about access and places to sit in the garden. The planting is wonderful, Beth Chatto was clearly a visionary in terms of working with the climate - for example the gravel garden is never watered. A great selection of tempting plants to buy and a lovely tea room. I hope to return again soon!
A stunning place to visit. So a peaceful, relaxing garden with a cute cafe shop with delicious food and cakes. I enjoyed every second of it. Definitely will visit again.
Beautiful gardens. Large water garden. Wooded area. Very good tea room selling a variety of sandwiches, cold foods, and lovely cakes. Hot and cold drinks are available. Toilets were clean and modern.nThere is a large plant sales area and a gift shop.
I’ve visited this garden a few times but this was the first time I really appreciated the genius of landscaping and planting. All the books put Sissinghurst and Great Dixter on a pedestal but the fluidity of these different areas and how they are blended so seamlessly is a thing of joy.nThe garden centre features a wide range of perennials and there is a small cafe and gift shop. I appreciated the range of concessions on entry too.
