Best Western Lion Hotel

I stayed at the Lion Hotel on business for two nights. Overall the stay was a pleasant one. The positives were: clean, comfortable room; good speed of WiFi; decent food in the restaurant; good location - I particularly like the fact that it's opposite the cinema as I always try to go to see something when I come down here. The only (minor) criticisms are: the decor in the room could do with 'refreshing' a little.

Was initially very worried when I walked through reception at midnight to check in. there was a massive party going on and I was knackered thinking I would get no sleep. once taken to the room and the door close couldn't hear a thing. slept brilliantly and had a fantastic breakfast.

Great staff, food and service. The quality of the executive room was excellent and the internet speed was great, no buffering issues and best of all it was free. Would highly recommend.

Dog friendly hotel. Spacious hotel room with a large, modern bathroom. Breakfast could have been better with a better quality of food.

Fabulous hotel, locally rooms and facilities. Only downside apart from the noisy extractor fan in our bathroom was the bar staff whilst polite ignoring people for over 10 minutes when trying to pay for food. That being said the food was amazing
