The bloke on reception was excellent - very helpful - and we couldn't find fault with the room. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.
Stayed here for a night as we have extensive building work going in at home. It was only up the road so felt convenient. If you're wanting no sleep due to the road noise, and mindless people going in and out at all hours talking, laughing, slamming doors and pipping car horns then this is the place for you. Think between me and my partner we managed 2 hours sleep. The rooms were sniffeling hot so had to open the window. Which then made the whole noise issue even worse. We was hoping for a good night of rest after a very stressful few months. It wasn't restful at all. Got woke up at 5am by 3 men leaving the building shouting and laughing with golf clubs. So went home by 6:30am. Shame as it has the potential to be great. The one staff member we saw seems nice enough although I feel she couldn't be bothered to help. I stupidly booked a double room instead of a family room so I asked for a spare bed was told the hotel was full. The car park wasn't full st all so found that hard to believe. So we managed. I'd of paid the difference for a bed. But wasn't given that option. NEVER AGAIN
Clean and comfortable. Great nights sleep even if I was woken up at 5.30 by screaming children running up and down the hall outside and then people shouting at each other in the carpark outside my window. I suspect this Travelodge is used as temporary accommodation, which I have absolutely no problem with but people need to be mindful of the fact there are others staying there, not just them... and keep their children and themselves under control.nAlso booked 3 rooms...its very hot this time of year and only 1 of the 3 fans provided worked. Nobody at reception to report it to so had to leave a note in the room. Didn't use them but both cups in the room had been used and were dirty.
Great and convenient place to stay. Only thing that was negative is that everyone including the staff smoke outside the front door. This doesn't help people that have asthma that is effected by tobacco smoke. A smoking area away from the only entrance would be good.
