Late booking due to an emergency at our new home no water on when moving in.nFew hotels take dogs, so it's really useful that Travelodge do.nEverything as expected apart from the overwhelmingly strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Would have asked for a change of room but we were too exhausted to do it.nReception member of staff very good.nRight next door to a Subway, Starbucks and petrol station. Lots of takeaways and supermarkets with a 2 minute drive too.

I made a booking through Travelodge website for my visit to Sheffield. Unfortunately, I made the wrong booking at Travelodge Worksop instead of Travelodge Sheffield Meadows where I intend to stay. However, I immediately noticed that I booked at the wrong hotel so I tried to cancel it through the Travelodge website and it was successful. After I received the confirmation email, I went on to make a new booking at Travelodge Sheffield Meadows. I contacted Travelodge to make sure that I get my refund for the cancelled booking. I was told that I will not have a refund as the booking was made at the non-refundable saver rate. I understand that I cannot cancel the booking made at the saver rate but when I did try to cancel, cancellation went through and was successful. That is why I made a new booking.nnIn fact, I tried to cancel the travelodge booking I made at the saver rate through its website. I could not cancel it.nnI am not happy that I do not have a refund for my successful cancellation. I would not have made another booking if I had not received the email confirming the cancellation. I felt that I was lied into making another booking. Travelodge should take responsibility for the email confirming the cancellation sent to me even if I was not supposed to cancel the booking made at the saver rate.
Room absolutely stinks. Wet dogs and sweaty cabbage. Hotel full so can’t swap. Might go and sleep in the car. To be fair, the chap on reception seems right enough. Let me borrow his Fabreze.nnMorning update: it’s like sleeping next to Silverstone.nnLatest update: lovely staff so added a star.
Easy access to the routes around Worksop. There is a StarBucks and a garage within 1 2 minute walk from the hotel. There were people talking until 4am outside our room which kept my friend awake. The room was very hot an no way to cool it down apart from open the window and suffer the noise. There is no restaurant or cafe onsite.
