Staff are friendly ,superb service from staff. But if your in a wheelchair forget it . You will be okay to get in bit rather man handled in doing so. Safety for disabled residents doesn't seem to be of importance. Wobbly temp ramp that is taken up and put back down when required. Leaving wheelchair users reliant on help constantly. You can eat at the hotel as accessable. But if for any reason you want to use either of the two bars you are faced with about 8 to 10 steps to one and about 8 to another. And what is annoying is that is actually ideal for a ramp outside to access the hotel it would just take up a parking space. And there is no excuse to be able to out in stairlift to either bar. No support rails on the steep access point to the rooms . I was nearly horizontal coming into the hotel and ramp was so slippy that my partner slipped several times when bringing me in. If he had gone over I would have gone over him at some speed. I understand older buildings can have issues. But this one had no excuses it was very clearly possible to make adaptions. I felt for the staff as they were fabulous but we're really embarrassed about the lack of adaptive facilities. And I worried about the hotels duty of care for the staff to. That ramp is not safe.It is heavy and for them to keep having to lift it is going to cause some medical.issues.

Very basic hotel, carpets look 40 years old in the room we had. Grumpy staff at breakfast. Will not recommend!

Lovely hotel situated in a good location in banbury. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast not the best which was the only downside to otherwise a pleasant stay

Pleasant hotel in a nice area. The staff were exceptional and dealt with our problem quickly and, mostly, professionally. The rooms would benefit from an update, though this could be difficult in a listed building.

Well located hotel for visiting Banbury with the town centre a short walk away. Large car park, nice clean reception and good lounge, bar and restaurant areas. The double room I stayed in was a basic but OK with a large HD screen television. My room was towards the room and I did find the traffic noise a little intrusive as the sound insulation from the windows was not that good. I would stay again but would request a room at the back of the hotel.
