Some amazing views from the lighthouse with a little bit more history of the forts that were there. It has a cafe should you want food and drink. Good walking area but just needed a few more bins for rubbish, not just dog waste. There is a toilet at the car park.
Great day out, and you pay for parking when you leave so the longer you stay or dont stay its up to you
There is quite a windy narrow road to get to the car park, at peak time I imagine this would be quite stressful to drive through with our experience of the newer more expensive cars pushing you over into the bushes resulting in scratches along the paint work! The pay machine worked ok but you always have in the back of your mind that you will get fined at some point. Be careful when typing in your number. I pressed M it highlighted M but N appeared in the display, this happened a number of times…
Great place loved the day parking But they missing out at £40 a night to stay It only £9 all day got there at 7am left at 10pm 14hours Don't stay that long overnight So £40 not worth it £10 a night would have stayed a week fishing
Do not use this car park, they charged us a fine even though we paid, its common that there machines often fail. The £110 fine is not work the day out. They doubled our fine before we even got the letter. Absolutely shocked and furious. The when we tried to appeal, they completely ignored us. I wish i could score minus stars!!!
.60p for every 20mins! Seemed a bit steep to me, especially if you like a long walk.
Everything was well until you go & pay. Said I had to pay £6.00 Paid but no receipt. Tried paying in different car park the following day & I was not allowed to use bank card as I had been banned from not paying the bill at berryhead NIGHTMARE. Tried to ring number no one answered. Emailed them no reply.
PREDATORY car park Signage is not clear. It looks like their goal is to make money from fines instead of the according to other reviews already outrageous parking price. Bottom line: A beautiful site ruined by greedy and deceitful practices.
Perfect place to park when fishing the Quarry. It is a pity you can't drive down to the bottom car park any more as my disabled friend cannot fish with me now.
BEWARE.....Predatory car park fines!!! Great example of Capitalism finding its way into our nature reserves. Didn't even park because it was full and waited for a space. Ultimately we didn't even visit because of no spaces to park and just left after 18mins of waiting. Apparently this was over the grace period so we got hit with a parking fine. Another ruined beauty spot
