Nice restaurant, nice staff and good central Solihull location - unfortunately, they got our order wrong, and the mains took so long to come out I developed a few more grey hairs trying to entertain the kids. And due to the order mistake, one of the little ones had to wait even longer for their food. All in all a lengthy drawn out experience, food was ok, I would say slightly above average, but all in all unfortunately won't be coming back
Poor and slow service, food lower quality than the other locations. One of our pizzas was drenched in balsamic glaze and was unedible. There was more balsamic glaze than pizza sauce.
We ordered a starter Gamberi shown in the picture. It usually comes with ciabatta. First thing the starter no way looked like what is shown on the menu, it was not even nearer. Upon that, they didn't serve ciabatta with it. We had to ask for it and had to wait for it for another 15 mins. For main, we ordered Marinara and luckily it was served in one piece. But was not up to Italian restaurant taste. We felt we prepare better marinara at home. 7 quid for starter and 13-14 quid for main where the service is patheticsaid food takes half an hour but took more than hour and 25 mins to serve and food was just ok, it's a total rip off. Never going here again.
Good value Italian especially with a discount voucher. New menu impressive
Had a really lovely gluten free soup here and pepperoni pizza also gluten free. Nice venue, clearly quite popular, all staff had a great sense of humour and were polite and upbeat.
Kids loved it...don't expect it to be cheap but they love the heart beat chip and sounds chip as well as the smell they all got to choose to put into the teddy.
good food but very misleading as there was a sign up stating pizza and pasta from the classic menu would be £5 today. There was no mention to additional charges when ordering. The bill arrived at full price and when questioned it was changed. However both meals were charged at £7 apparently because 1 had fish and 1 was new to the menu. This should have been made clear at the time of ordering. Also we were seated quickly and the food arrived fast but we had a long wait to place our initial order and also had to approach a waitress to obtain our bill.
Would not recommend. Bless the waitress she was really good and that's the only reason there is a star there...the food was very mediocre as standard took ages to get drinks... my husband wanted to treat himself to the £21 steak asked for it medium it came out blue and full of fat completely in edible and had to send it back...my sons pizza was under cooked and made him seriously ill! Started getting the shakes at the table almost instantly straight through him poor kid! Was very concerned about him! Please avoid.
I have been here before & had lovely meals & good service but this time, this was not the case. I visited on Friday night with 2 friends. There was a children's party happening when we arrived, this would be fine if they weren't left to run around the restaurant screaming. Bad start. We weren't shown to our table, the waiter pointed to the table & said he'd be over to take our order. The cleaning bottle, cloth & a dirty knife were still on the table, already not impressed. He finally came to take our order & then the food was served before the drinks had even arrived! The place got busy and a singer & guitarist set up at the back of the restaurant which I thought was a bit odd. They were ok but the music was so loud we could not have a conversation at table, we could not hear each other! I'm in my 30's, not 90's, it wasn't great. Noone came to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to ask the manager who was serving other tables for the bill while 4 members if staff stood chatting, and he was very abrupt, quite rude. I wont eat here again which is a shame because I have loved it in the past.
A very mixed experience for my family and I when we dined here. No table ready for us on arrival despite the fact that we had booked. Drinks took over half an hour to reach us, one of our starters had to be returned as it was not cooked, our main meals took over an hour to come out, our dairy free pizza was served without cheese despite the menu stating that vegan cheese was an option and we had to ask for our plates to be cleared after our main course. Our entire experience took three hours from start to finish despite the fact that for at least half of the evening there were only eight other tables being served. The severely understaffed team did try to rectify our issues, the food was okay but not very hot and we did receive a good discount by way of compensation. So there was some acknowledgement of our experience but considering all the competition around this restaurant I expected better. Bella italia in Stratford upon Avon offers a wonderful evening out and I was disappointed that we did not get anywhere near the same experience at the Solihull branch. Hopefully this was just a bad night and you will fair better.
