Had a wonderful two night stay in this lovely guest house. We had a warm welcome from Caroline and Mike, who could not have done more to make our stay so enjoyable. Our room, The Stable, was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The guest house is in an ideal location for anyone wanting to explore this area of Wales and for walkers and bird watchers. We decided to eat in and enjoyed very delicious home cooked food. This will be our first choice of accommodation in this area when we return.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a quiet and peaceful break and we were not disappointed. Out in the countryside, you are surrounded by beautiful green fields (and a few sheep!), and the mountains are only a short drive away. Mike and Caroline are the perfect hosts - serving great food, providing clean rooms, and they are only too happy to help you with any questions you might have about the area (walks and places you can eat out etc). Would definitely stay here again if we get a chance.

Stayed two nights arriving Friday afternoon till Sunday. Had a warm welcome waiting for us followed by a quick tour of the house. The location is stunning and the bed room was surprisingly big with high seilings and nicely presented. Lots of choice for breakfast and the owners allowed me to change and swap items on the menu, which is always a bonus. It was a great weekend break and I would definitely come back again.

Situated along a narrow country road, ten minutes off the A470 and five minutes drive/45 minute walk from Penderyn, owners Mike and Caroline will immediately make you feel very welcome. The eighteenth century building is lovely, with a wonderful guest lounge, a practical dining area with a useful fridge, and spacious but cosey, clean, nicely furnished rooms. The hot breakfasts are cooked freshly to order with local produce, and there is a good variety of fruit, yoghurts, juices and cereals. On our first evening here, Caroline was installing a WiFi booster to reach the rooms, Mike lent us two torches with spare batteries so that we could stroll through the dark lane to the Red Lion, and after we'd had two drinks and a chat with the really friendly locals, Richard - the Landlord of the pub - drove us back to the B&B! The house is well situated for great walks over the Beacons, and you can rest assured that the radiators will be piping hot for you on your return. Mike and Caroline are extremely conciencious with all things green, and run the house in an eco-friendly manner in very many ways. This includes any tid bits from breakfast going to 'Spud', the stray cat, who is not now so much a stray.

Very warm welcome from Mike and Caroline into a homely guest house. We stayed here for valentines, the roaring log fire and cosy bed settled us in for the night and the locally sourced breakfast backed up with Mike's invaluable local knowledge meant we were ready to take on Pen-y-fan! Hope to make another booking for when the suns out!!
