Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will.
Beefeater believe in two things, a warm friendly welcome and serving incredible steak that you can kick back, relax and enjoy. The Preston Brook boasts the best team around - many of our staff have worked here for 15 years or more! They take pride in delivering warm, friendly service with a smile, and enjoy getting to know our guests, many of whom are regulars who have dined with us since we first opened. Our close proximity to local atractions such as All Saints Church (birthplace of Lewis Carol), Walton Gardens and Delemere Forest also ensures a steady stream of new visitors who we are delighted to welcome with open arms! Pricey but must have to say it's the best place to go for a Sunday roast it's absolutely amazing the chef defiantly has a good idea what they are doing. There is a good selection of drinks available and the clientele is good. Clean with friendly staff not noisy when we went neither was it too busy.

The hotel was good and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Beefeater however simply isn't up to scratch. One of our two Saturday evening main courses was overcooked, dry and looked more like a starter in terms of portion sizes.. The second main was over cooked and dry. We had to wait over an hour for the mains and a further 40 minutes for the deserts. During breakfast our porridge was cold and service was slow. Overall, the food was expensive and represented very poor value for money. The staff are very friendly and work very hard and tirelessly. Despite this their simply aren’t enough of them and the Beefeater needs to employ both in the kitchen and front of house and Beefeater need to do something about their woefully poor meal sizes. WE WILL be staying at Premier Inns again as they have always worked very well for us , but we will NOT be dining at Beefeater again. Many other guests and diners were equally unhappy with their meals and wait times.

Very poor on our visit. My friends curry. Wasn't warm enough and the steak burgers were too well done. The staff didn't seem too bothered when we complained. Definitely won't be going again.

ffGreat curry for around £5. PLUS. Just come from post operative at Liverpool hospital and I cannot say enough about the care of the staff. They spotted me with stick and helped. Even to the point of holding doors open to make my loo access easy. Great great customer care.

The food was a bit expensive for what is basically pub food. The £17 steak I ordered came well done instead of medium as requested, for that price you expect the chef to know the difference. The rest room was on the small size considering the number of patrons. Cannot fault the staff, they were friendly and attentive and we had no problems getting refills on our drinks. It would have been four stars if not for the price.
