Hubby and I decided to get an evening meal here whilst staying next door at the Premier Inn. We had been on the road all day on gallery deliveries and decided to eat here rather than travelling too far. The restaurant was not too busy but still had people in and the staff all seemed to be bustling around looking after everybody. We were shown to a booth by Jasmine who took care to seat us in an area where it wasn't too noisy. It seemed everyone had space around their tables which was nice to see. We ordered drinks and mains and we both chose a Cobb salad, one with chicken and one with salmon. We also ordered a side of halloumi fries and some onion rings. The salads were plenty full enough with a good quantity of the cooked element, which was fresh and hot. We did notice that there was no avocado which was listed on the menu so we mentioned it and promptly received a side serving of delicious fresh avocado for each of us to add into the salad. The empty plates were cleared promptly and after a few minutes consideration we ordered desserts. We decided on apple pie with custard and cookie dough with ice cream. We commented that John especially likes a lot of custard with his apple pie so Jasmine made sure that he received two small jugs of custard instead of just one. When it came to pay the bill we noticed that the desert had not been added into the total and so we pointed this out and paid the correct amount. Jasmine thanked us for being honest but it really is the only way to be. The bill was just over £50. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very well prepared and we were very pleased. Thank you to Jasmine for being friendly and helpful whilst at the same time being attentive and we did notice that you were like this with everybody despite obviously having had a long day. We stay at this Premier Inn quite often so will be happy to return here for a meal another time. Thank you :
Really speedy and excellent food service was absolutely brilliant was served by a fella called Michael who went above and beyond to make sure my daughter got fed asap as she was very hungry
The service was so slow , 35 minutes after we sat down, our order was taken for our drinks. there was only 3 people on our table, the restaurant had empty tables. Hardly any chips with the main meal, I asked for another portion. The food was good though so a big THANKS to the chefs ‍ for that. Apart from the waiting it was a nice place, friendly staff, very helpful. Thanks again
We turned up without having booked, a party of 10 at lunchtime and despite being very busy, the super helpful staff found room for us and we're brilliant throughout our visit. The food was as good as we expected in a 'chain' pub but the staff really lifted the meal above the ordinary. Thank you.Food: 4/5
Awful meal. Sunday roast raw and cold. Sirloin steak cold. Nice staff. Food awful. Sent back the roast, it came back warm but still raw. I was offered a portion of chips to compensate a cold steak. Really! Just been told that the roast would be free and 50% of my steak. Also, our dessert was now off the menu. I would sooner pay three times the amount and dine together on a decent meal. You have been warned.
The place is a little tired and could do with updating. Food took quite a long time and was average. Toilets missing soap and blocked, advised staff and was just directed to another toilet. Not horrific but definitely needs improving.Food: 3/5
I enjoyed my meal but the lunchtime set menu seemed to have small portions for some of our group. Certainly cheap enough and the place was quite busy hence the slow service but we weren't in a rush ... it's an alright place and young kids are well catered for.Food: 3/5
Had a quick early evening meal. Great food especially the steak, service good and friendly. If I had to give the restaurant itself Les stars it would be because of the carpets.. need a good clean. Parking: Guildford
Twice, on two diffent days, I have visited for breakfast but have been left waiting for a long time to be seated the last was over 5 minutes, if it were not for the fact that I had booked and paid for breakfast I would not have stayed. Once seated the food served on hotplates was good, not left for too long, not cooked to a crisp, not sloppy, etc.
Really really disappointed!……. Have been going here for breakfast for a few years now…… always enjoyed it and thought it was fantastic for the price. However on our visit last week we were very disappointed. Made to sit in a confined area, coffee machine was broken, they didn’t want to bake anymore croissants as we were told they would take 20 minutes but it was only 9:30! And there was no eggs for ages. Looks like they’re trying to cut on spending….. but when you pay for both breakfast options you expect to have what the offer in the menu, not just bits here and there because they don’t want to put any more on. Put me off returning.
