We look a beefeater and we drove ten minutes off route to try this one out. It didn't dissapoint. Welcoming and friendly service from Leigh and Lewis. Cooked fresh breakfast with plenty of continental options. Leigh and Lewis were smartly dressed and despite it being a busy morning were fully in control of everything. A smile goes a long way and it was clear they are happy delivering great customer service. The George in the Tree was spotless inside, perhaps could do with a lick of paint outside but this didn't detract one bit from what was a pleasant experience. Would 100% visit again if we are in the area.
Had Christmas Dinner today Christmas Day. Service very good considering the venue was full and peak time 1:30 -3pm. Waiter checked our pre ordered choices with us before serving Food - No complaints Atmosphere - very good, helped by the decorations. Thanks to staff for working, hope they were able to enjoy the remainder of the day after finishing service.
Nice setting and well-furnished pub restaurant. The mixed grill was very good, the rib eye steak fair, and there's a good value wine selection with bottles from £14 upwards. Service was a little slow for taking the order however after the dishes and food was served promptly.Food: 4/5
Evening atmosphere was comfortable and warming drinks and snacks was spot on . Brekfast was looking forward to help yourself unfortunately although i booked in advance on arrival for breakfast the waitress spent 5mins trying to sort her seating arrangements out left us standing there with her . Best part of the brekie was the toast which i made myself as im sat trying to butter my toast im looking for the self sevice then up pop the waitress 5mins later asking to take my order was most disapointed then had to sit and wait even longer for what like a shrunking breakfast plate of food that did not deliver in quality or quantity £10 each for two disapointed plates was not happy Poached eggs not good it just lacked a decent premier inn breakfast Restricted on being able to go up and choose how i want my breakfast Although hotel was great the evening was great it was let down big time for breakfast Would look for self service again but else where at those prices

Rather expensive but I will say it was worth every penny, food was amazing. Vegetarian food available, child friendly with menu options, free parking, disabled friendly, accepts card payment at your table, not too sure about cash.Food: 5/5
Awful! 45 minutes to get served, food missing from order when we pointed it out they got snotty. Pancakes, muffins and other things not available. Bananas were manky. Never got our porridge, Very poor service, it really wasn't that busy. DON'T EAT HERE!Food: 3/5

Staff are kind. Clean and nice interior. Quality of steaks are above average. We will come back. Update: visited the restaurant again after 2 months. Staff are okay, but not as freindly as before. The quality of steaks is above pub average. I would recommend.
First time here and definitely will go again friendly staff lots of seating their is plenty of parking.plenty of choice on menu,price of food very reasonable.excellent atmosphere. Parking: Plenty of free parking.spaces and close to restaurant.
