When asking how much a soft drink would be not unlimited, was told by the server Charlotte- “Oh how would I know? There’s the menu there”. Very cheeky. Also- the portion sizes were ridiculously small. Restaurant was also very cold. BTW, the price of that bottle of coke was £3.10 for anyone reticent to ask their server.Food: 2/5
Food was lovely, hot, fresh, well cooked steak. My husband had this combo dish that was massive and too much for him. Big portions! Nicole our server was cheerful, polit, attentive. Really nice night for a Monday! Food: 5/5
Went with my wife and son whilst visiting him in Glasgow. Did wait a little to be greeted at the door even though not busy at the time. We had booked a table and were a bit early but table was ready for us. Waitress was very pleasant and friendly and took our orders for drinks and food. Food was as expected which was good value for money. Free parking also but make sure you enter car registration before you sit. Would recommend Parking: Must enter car details on tablet inside restaurant
I have used this Beefeater for 3 weekends, while staying at the hotel next door. The service and staff were excellent. Very welcoming, friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. Pauline is amazing, one breakfast in particular, it was packed and yet she ensured everyone was attended to, all their needs were met and all with a smile on her face. Thank you! X
Party of 12. Staff and service was 1st class and attentive. Meals were all amazing. Drinks topped up quickly and meals all served in order they were taken. Very well run restaurant. As if things could not improve Nicole arrived to give our mum a lovely birthday card and gift from her and the staff. Lovely touch to end a fab night. Rebooked for next birthday dinner in December. Great table for us all too. Been before with smaller party and has always been excellent. The place to go for sure. Thanks to everyone at the Black Bear xx Parking: You have plenty of parking space including spaces for mobility vehicles which we needed and right at the door. Just register your car at the door. That way there’s spaces for diners.
Nice restaurant for family dinner . reasonable price, good menu. various drinks for children and good service.Food: 4/5
Really wanted it to be better than it was, as was out for a birthday celebration. Nice server but service painfully slow, made worse by a number of items not available on the menu such as fish & chips and sticky toffee pudding to name a few. Food was well received by the majority. Avoid the nachos as not worth the money, came with BBQ sauce, not salsa? Strange. Plus points no rush, ample space, child friendly and plenty of parking. Vegetarian options: Number of options available. Parking: Large parking area, number of disabled friendly spaces at the front door. Kid-friendliness: Child menu.
The waitress was fantastic, knowledgeable of the menu, and helpful with everything. The food was quite good, I had the steak which was cooked to order but still no better than average. It is reasonably priced and there is outdoor seating. It is child friendly.
Had a fab night out with friends made even better by our server Rachel. She would fit right in with us... mad as a hatter Meal was great too and service was quick. Will definitely come back... well that's if we are allowed back
Went for the all you can eat breakfast with my partner, bargain at the price. Food tastes nice although comes from kitchen quite greasy, didn’t expect it to be healthy ordering 4 sausages and 4 bacon rashers and 2 fried eggs but perhaps some drip/rest time would resolve this. We were served by Debbie and she was fantastic! She was very helpful throughout giving plenty of warnings for hot food ending and continental being taken away. Her genuine warm demeanour improved my experience and brought a lovely homely feel to an otherwise generic premier-inn partnered restaurant.
