To start with. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. We were told from the beginning it will be a 30 minute wait for food. Which was expected because it’s a busy Sunday tea time. Food was delivered hot and extremely delicious. Wasn’t badgered constantly about how the food tasted unlike some restaurants - massive bonus to the hardworking staff members. Always a pleasure to come to this site.
Really nice little place , I had one of the platters was very nice massive portion size would easily feed two people . Was disappointed that the Sunday roast had ran out by 4 in the afternoon well most of the meats for it . Had a 50 minute wait for the food aswell , the staff seemed lovely but also very disinterested at the same time
Ordered 'Surf and turf' to take back to the hotel and I was missing the Jumbo King Prawns & garlic Mayo. Everything was tasteless, hence the ketchup mayo on the plate. The mini corn on the cobs was not chargrilled or seasoned with bbq rub it was wet, as if its boiled and thats it. First time eating at Beefeater and the pictures and description sounds great but it was terrible. Not worth £26 pounds with a bottle coke.
Kids menu is great value, adults a bit pricier and not particularly overwhelming. Service was good and the bottomless sugar free drink option was a lovely addition. Lots of seating and car parking spaces. Would definitely go back with the kids but not without.
Very tasty food in an ideal location near to bus services and adequate parking. Friendly and welcoming staff, was fortunate to have a discount as food can be on the expensive side.Food: 5/5
Went for a lunch deal today. Food was good for the price. Was quite busy our waitress was lovely.
Good selection of food on menu and food looked and tasted great. However, the service was slowwwww. Despite needing a table number to order your food, the serving staff did not seem to know where the tables were, or didn't check the table numbers before leaving the kitchen; at one point they even came around the tables looking for who had ordered sticky toffee pudding. Quite an easy fix.
It was OK I guess... We went for a chat and a lunch. Good was adequate but nothing special, service average, etc - a bit like a Weatherspoons but more expensive! I'll go again as its convenient for a quick bite but wouldn't bother if it was for anything halfway special. I recall this place being much better. Everything seems to have slipped... Parking: Ample parking but you MUST enter registration number on a computer for 3 hours free parking. Don't forget! Wheelchair accessibility: Nicely wheelchair accessible door, parking and bathrooms.
Booked at 4pm Sunday for family of 5. Arrived and went to order, but told there were no roasts available as they had been busy, pretty empty and so I wonder if they had just not made any. Ordered 2 fish and chips, a pie and a kids burger. They returned to say they only had 1 fish and so swapped for another pie. Food was like a bad school dinner standard, pastry on pies were hard, portions small, service without a smile. I have eaten here a fair bit over the years with family staying at the hotel. Always been average but the roasts are OK. I will not be returning again as £45 to eat this standard of food is not acceptable.
I have visited this restaurant a number of times now as the hotel next door is conveniently located. Unfortunately there seems to be a consistency of items not available from the menu I won't be returning again as the last time I ordered a steak at this steakhouse the steak was overcooked and the chips were undercooked. I also had repeated poor breakfasts here including one day where there was quite a lot of egg shell in the eggs not just one! Disappointing.
