DO NOT GO HERE!!

Putting it short: They do not listen to you, they don’t write anything down to remember and they have the worst customer service ever.

This garage is a joke. After taking my car in and telling them the problem, they did not write anything down (Told them I had a battery fitted by them last July). Said they would look at it on the Monday, phone up end of the day Monday to be told they apparantly said they would look at it Tuesday.

Upon going back a day later than expected I found out they fitted a new battery in my car, they were surprised to find out they fitted a battery last July even though I stated this when I first came in. They also did not look at my stereo which was one of the things I said needed fixing. 

I was told they would submit the battery for a warranty claim and I would receive the results 3 weeks later. They wouldn’t give me the name of their supplier and were reluctant to put the warranty claim in writing for me. 4 weeks later I heard nothing, I contact them back and they try and avoid everything I say... It has now been 5 weeks and I have just received a refund for the battery. I asked for the warranty claim report (Which they said I would receive) and apparantly they dont have it. Pretty sure they never sent off for a warranty claim and only gave me the refund to stop calling them.

TERRIBLE just TERRIBLE! So myself & my husband we’re screamed at this morning 13/11/17 on returning the rented car, having had it valeted & 1/4 diesel over the required quota to return. My husband, being insured on it, had parked it in the forecourt and I enter the reception and gave the keys. This apparently is not alowed and instead of polilety saying this is not allowed, the elderly man shouted, screamed, swore and told me he was going to call the police! I have never ever been spoken to like that, it brought me to tears! I will definitely not be using them ever again and urge you not to too! Disgusted is an understatement I didn’t think we had grumpy men in Cornwall we clearly do!

We booked to stay at Heligan Gardens in our motorhome. We decided to hire a car for a couple of days and a call to the site pointed us in the direction of Beech Motors. I pre booked on the phone which was a straight forward process. It was agreed that I would be picked up on the start of the hire and taken to the office to complete the paperwork.
On the arranged day I was picked up promptly and was given a comprehensive introduction to the car.
When my hire was finished I was given a lift back to the campsite.
Overall this was a satisfactory experience.

After the ordeal that a family member was put through I can honestly say that if this was the last garage on Earth, I would still never go to Beech Motors. The owner, Phil Halliday, is a complete rogue who will try to scrounge every penny out of you even though he is unable to carry out a routine repair properly. He is arrogant, abusive, threatening and simply should not be running a business. A 1 star review is too much for this joke of a man! AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Mixed history of reviews I can see but our experience of car hire was absolutely fine. Picked up from the station, paperwork sorted quickly, even shown around the car (e.g. The rather hidden button to open the petrol cap) where my previous car hire experiences hadn't bothered. Returned on time, deposit returned promptly, and all sorted without any fuss. Would definitely use again.
