Awesome as always - it's a peaceful break from the stresses of working or in my case, learning. I went on a rather gloomy day but it was still the most peace I've had in a while. Enjoy the geese and ducks! The pond is just amazing - the water level is a lot lower now, though. The open area feeds the soul. There's a café too but I didn't buy anything - parking is plentiful. Be sure to bring a bike if you visit because you will be able to cruise around and look at the scenery as you pass by.
Bronze age park with giant trees, open grassland, meadows, riber, lake and wooded areas, gardens, fairy tale bridge! Amazing place to take a tour with your friends and family to enjoy a lovely outing. You can visit the cafe of the park to avail freshly cooked breakfast and more...
Very beautiful picturesque park. Nice for a little stroll with pets or children. The walking trail is lovely with beautiful sights of lake and waterfalls nearby.
Park ground is clean, accessible to near bins. So wide and has playground. Green everywhere you look! Just that toilet is messy at the cafe. But can't complain, the place is free. Just keep tidy after use especially the place where you sit down and place a picnic.
This is possibly the best park in Greater London - great for dogs and active kids. Lots of wide open green space, woodland copses, tree-lined avenues, a small formal garden, a lake with ducks and geese, and the River Wandle flowing through shallow enough for even small children to have safe fun. There's also a children's playground and cafe. It's everything I want from a park.
I love this park, and have so many great memories here. My children have played in the swing park, we've had many picnics, even a birthday party 'sports day' style once. I now walk my German Shepard here, and he thoroughly enjoys it. Other friendly dog walkers. My dog also loves running in the lake here. There's beautiful flowers, plenty of benches, ducks, a few bridges to stroll over to enjoy the scenery. Playground: Got a great playground. Zip wire, swings, climbing frames for big and smaller children. The Pavilion Café is located at the swing park, with plenty of seating inside and out. Handy for grabbing a quick cuppa tea or 'another' ice lolly for the children in warmer weather. Restrooms: Located only inside the Pavilion Café. Dog-friendliness: Always plenty of dogs, and can quite easily say, usually well behaved and very friendly. Picnic area: Most of this space is perfect for picnics. With plenty of big beautiful trees to give you some shade, or out in the greener spaces which isn't over crowded.
Really lovely park. I didn't realise how big the park is. The cafe is nice with outdoor seats next to the children play area. Parking is available, however, on a nice day, parking can be tricky to find. I would recommend arriving early if travelling by car to guarantee a space.
A nature park with varieties of activities for all ages. Well spread out. Really enjoyed day out with family and grandchildren had great time too.
Big open park . Lovely place to relax , peace n quiet. With play area s all over the park a pavilion n cafe.. one of the best parks in the surrounding area..
I still love this park but just lost my dog to two big American Pitbull dogs. The dogs were off lead and unfortunately attacked my 17 year old Girl. I didn’t know this information but Pitt Bulls are a banned breed and have to always be on leads and muzzled. Also, these dogs need to have a permit to be walked. Even with that permit they have to be kept on leads and muzzled.
