The first few times I came here I found the service fine, the staff were attentive. Today I have waited 50 minutes to collect a ring (still waiting...) with barely any acknowledgement and no apology for the wait once we were served. They served another man who had come in after us and would have served another woman who came in after us if we hadnt spoken up about it. I guess thats the difference between treatment prior to sale and after they've secured the sale.

Very bad service. I feel they attempted to fraud me. Please note that this issue occurred last year, therefore some staff members may have been changed. I received an Armani watch from my fiancee which was purchased directly by her in this store. Once opened I realized it was too small and I decided to take it to the shop to adjust it. I took it to the shop and I was told by one of the sales assistant that they were pretty busy, therefore it would be ready in about one hour. I agreed to leave the watch with them and come back later after a bit of shopping around stores. Once I came back to pick up my watch, I started inspecting it before to wear it, and I realized that it was full of little scratches that were not there before. The typical scratches the watch gets after been used for a while, especially seating at a desk. I complained that they gave me a different watch but the sales assistant insisted that it was the very same one. I asked to speak with a manager who made me sit with my partner on a couch and started asking me if I was completely sure that the scratches were not there before. He inspected and smelled the item (I guess to try to understand if it was worn before) and kept me there talking for about 20 minutes. After seeing that I was very resolute to get MY watch back, he went to the back office and came out with a watch that looked as new as mine. This all situation felt VERY dodgy.

The staff at Beaverbrooks were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The jewellery they have is good quality and varied, though it is towards the mid to high price range.
