I ordered a pair of hoop earrings via the website. When I wore the earrings for the first time I noticed the clasp wasn't closing properly. I sent them back for a full refund but instead they accused me of breaking the earrings and refused to provide a refund. They were extremely rude on the phone and I would NEVER go here for jewellery again, what a mistake! Disgusting behaviour. Why would anyone order earrings just to break them?! No common sense and the "no quibble returns" policy on their website is a complete lie.

I treated my girlfriend to pair of gold earnings as a Christmas present purchased from London Jewellery Company, I will never make the same mistake again! Upon delivery, a clasp on one of the earrings failed to close properly rendering the earrings useless. I followed protocol and completed the returns form on the original invoice and returned the items. A few days later I received a very troubling phone call from Neil (company director) who accused me of deliberately damaging "an earring", I place "earring" in speech marks for a reason, more on this later. During the phone call I attempted to stress to Neil that it would have been a complete impossibility to damage the earring as my partner was unable to wear them due to the faulty clasp, this fell on dear ears. Neil was incredibly patronising and offensive on the phone and would not listen to reason. As the call progressed I told Neil to have a serious think about how he speaks with his customers and told him to call me back once he had defined a plan of action. Neil did phone around a week later (unaware of exact duration) and the same conversation ensued. The only difference this time is that "both earrings" had been deliberately tampered with which was incredibly hard to understand as the working item had never been worn! Furthermore, in a moment of genius, I captured a video of the items before returning them to prove that one item was ok and the other was faulty. In this video you can clearly see that the earrings are in new condition without any damage. The video was sent to London Jewellery Company who did nothing with this evidence. Neil didn't offer to refund the items very much to my disappointment as the items were £100. This whole experience has tainted online shopping for me and has left me out of pocket.

BUY WITH CAUTION. I bought a gold signet ring for my sons 30th birthday from the London Jewellery Company and within 2 weeks of wearing it the band split. on the back of the invoice they supplied with the ring it says; 'If anything you have ordered does not live up to your expectations, just return the item to us in its original packaging, for an exchange or refund'. They have refused, on numerous occasions, to refund me. P.S. i had to give a 1 star rating, it wouldn't let me post it with the zero star rating, in my opinion, they deserve.

Bought some earrings for my mum for Christmas- never worn until today and the earring snapped when she went to put it on. Hoop earrings, clean snapped in half so obviously faulty. Still have all packaging and receipts and refused to do anything about it. Very unprofessional abusive manner from the man on the phone. Worrying to think who else has been treated the same way.
