Impressive tap list comprising local brewers and selected guests. A couple of decent imperial stouts among the offerings which was appreciated by myself. Friendly bar person. Enjoyed my visit.
Really enjoyed the new karaoke night! There seemed to be some technical issues at first, but they were sorted out really quickly. Our group all had a lovely time, atmosphere was great, pizza was awesome and the selection of beers was amazing! Would defo go again.
Nice decor, pleasant surroundings with a promising range of beers. I may have been unlucky but the quality of one of my pints was poor. Distinct burnt taste, not pleasant. Possibly picked up from the wort being charred during boil. The barman was non-plussed and uninterested. Disappointing from a bar that presents itself as a craft ale bar. Another star knocked off for disabled toilets being out of order. Again no apology/ solution from the manager. Take it or leave it attitude.
Great vibe, really good selection of beers. Love that there's always £3 pizza. Loads of fun events going on, pub quiz kareokoe, boardgames. The place looks amazing since the refurb!
Really enjoyed this place when it was Beatnikz Republic, but didn’t have a great experience on my fist return visit to Pelican where an extremely loud DJ/karaoke set blasting through a broken/buzzing speaker system made it very hard to enjoy my beer. Lots of good beers on offer but had the wrong vibes for having a pint with friends.

We visited this bar on Saturday night, really good atmosphere and amazing staff! There was a karaoke night on, a few technical issues at the start but in all an amazing night would definitely recommend.
Lovely bar with a great range of beers, we tried a few pales and an imperial stout to finish. Nice atmosphere and helpful staff.
I loved Karaoke night. Great atmosphere totally made up for the technical issues at the start. Will def go again.
Very chic place in the heart of the northern quarter of Manchester. Good selection of beers and patient staff. I recommend the I Gold Coast. It's a great beer. Very cool atmosphere. Chilled out and entertained.
